Chowhound Montreal - Miracle Berry Tasting Party

I've been hearing amazing things about the berry from the Synsepalum Dulcificum plant.
If you haven't heard about this berry check out this story from cnn: http://www.cnn.com/2009/HEALTH/03/25/...

Would anyone be interested in attending a tasting party?

We could order fresh berries and sample:

* Lemon
* Lime
* Vinegar and Vinegar-based Foods
* Grapefruit
* Strawberries
* Pineapple
* Grapes
* Kiwi
* Peach
* Tomato
* Radish
* Mustard
* V8
* Tabasco sauce or any other hot sauce.
* Sour cream
* Un-sweet ice tea with lemon or lime
* Sour Pickles
* Red berries
* Blackberries
* Raspberries
* Cranberries
* Coffee & some drops of lemon
* Watermelon
* Goat cheese
* Aged cheeses
* Rhubarb
* Guinness
* Beer
* Wine
* Chili sauce
* Garlic cloves
* Unsweetened chocolate

and much, much more....
It would be fun to create a tasting menu!

Please email me at johawa@gmail.com if you are interested.
If there's enough interest we might be able to arrange something.

Fresh Truffles in Montreal?

Thanks for all the suggestions!
It sounds like my best bet will be to take a look at the 2 Chez's (Nino and Louis) at JTM.
Chez Nino told me they have a selection of fresh black truffles from Italy ($4000/kg) and Chez Louis has a selection of frozen black Perigord truffles from France ($50-$75 each).
I'll head over and take a look - I'm not an experienced Truffle buyer so hopefully i'll end up with something good.
*Mycoboutique carries a selection of fresh truffles in nov/dec but they're already done for the season.
