Maynard's Cast Iron Kitchen
Hi,
I just wanted to say that we have been to the Cast Iron Kitchen in Maynard 4 times now and have enjoyed our visits. Good food, reasonable prices. The Short Ribs are very good as is the homemade Mac and Cheese. It is sort of a "comfort food" type of place, much better than the old (and not very good) Quarterdeck it replaced. The Quarterdeck Seafood Market next door is still fantastic and with very helpful staff.
Why does the Acton/Concord area have NO GOOD RESTAURANTS?
NO NO NO! Keep away from J.P. O'Hanlons, our party was served rancid food there and another time I was served almost raw chicken. Stay with the wiskey at that place.

I think it is Forge Village Pizza, do not bother with it. I used to live about 2 minutes away, poor to OK at best. It you are in the Westford area just go to West Acton to TC Landos, it is the best in Metro West, the one in Hudson stinks.
Austin to DC Roadtrip

Boys road trip! Austin, TX to DC in April and want to hit some great down home local, get your hands dirty with BBQ and seafood joints along the way. Nothing fancy or expensive, plates optional. We are open to all suggestions. I'll eat anything as long as it is tasty! Shrimp, gator, BBQ, tripe, ribs, tamales, it's all good!
