Waldorf was the absolute MUST when I was growing up. When I took over the cooking it kinda went away...but I think it might make a comeback this year...I'm kinda nostalgic this year with both Mom and Dad passed on...Dad really loved it...and hubby loves it now too.

Supposedly it originated at the Watergate Hotel restaurant in Washington DC...my Ex-MIL used to make it every year...Thank goodness it tastes good cause it was the only edible thing on her Thankgiving table!!

If you can't find the Black Cherry Jello - use regular cherry jello and then use DR PEPPER instead of Coke...tastes pretty good actually!

They still sell them in my neck of the woods (east coast central FL) - I love them! They are relatively low-carb too so they are a treat on my diet on a Sat morning with eggs!
