Vietnamese Restaurant Recommendation

Going to be in San Fran for one night in August and as there is a large Vietnamese population there, and my hometown of NYC is somewhat lacking in my favorite cuisine, thought I'd see what the best places in San Fran were. Recommendations are appreciated...we are staying in the Mission but are happy to travel wherever necessary for deliciousness. Price doesn't matter, although I find expensive Vietnamese/fusion to be somewhat lame. Thanks!

Aurora, vinegar hill, convivum, petit crevette - wedding dinner for 30?

I would suggest Convivium in Park Slope, you may have to be seated throughout the three rooms, but they are all connected and extremely cozy. The entree plates are around 20-30, so i'd imagine you could do around 40-50 a person excluding wine.

V-Day Restaurant in Outer Brooklyn

My girlfriend and I are going to the aquarium on Saturday for Valentine's Day and as we are completely sick of Park Slope restaurants, were thinking of branching out into the farther reaches of Brooklyn. We'll probably rent a Zip-car to head down to the aquarium, so no need to be particularly close to that location. Something fairly high end with seafood options and a decent atmosphere is preferred.

Thanks.

NYC foody in need of recommendations for week long LA trip

My girlfriend and i are visiting our friends (who only recently moved to LA themselves) in January and I really want to make sure I hit the right food spots. New York is entirely devoid of decent Mexican food so thats a must, as is some great vietnamese. We will essentially eat anything that is good, but prefer places that aren't too trendy or hip. Prefer cheap for ethnic foods, but as our anniversary will occur while we are there, a tasty and fancier place recommendation would be appreciated.

Fresh Pasta Park Slope

Anyone know where, in park slope or surrounding hoods, I can get some nice fresh pasta for cooking at home?
