BBQ DC BEST??

We have a nice little place like this (homey/dive) in Derwood/Gaithersburg: Blue Ribbon BBQ. It's texas style so stay with the Brisket (either pulled or sliced is great). The spicy-bbq sauce is lip smacking and the brisket beans is a must have side. (Fried Mac and Cheese isn't bad either). Small place with nothing more then a few large TVs (always with Texas/Houston sports running). Give it a try....we like it.

BBQ Ribs - Where to eat

PGreen: Not sure if you're still checking but Blue Ribbon has recently changed ownership/partnership and the food has gotten much better then in previous reviews. The decor is nothing much (but two large flat screen TVs for Sports) but the food is great. The spicy-version of the BBQ sauce stays on your lips for a while so go easy at first. This is Texas BBQ so stay with the beef...they make pork but it's just for show. I also echo other reviews with recommending the Brisket Beans....beans with beef....OMG I want some now!

Maoj,
They actually do a fairly extensive Vegetarian menu. Basically anything they make on the "regular" menu they make vegetarian by using tofu/soy....even little tofu curly-cues to look like baby shrimp. Depends how hard up you are for good Chinese.

First time in St. Lucia

Chris,
If you are going to be on Island during a Friday night, make sure to check out the local "jump-up". Essentially it's a giant block party that occurs all over the island (mostly in the cities). There are soca bands, dancing, and lots of homemade rum punch (ask/haggle for a sample before buying...oh and if you do buy...don't plan on bringing it back to the states). Lots of fun. Also if you can try to make it up to Tao at Le Sport up in the north side of the island. My wife and I honeymooned up there a few years ago and are dying to get back
