Erie, PA

Fairly new to the area myself...
Lot of chains, but that fortunately includes chik-fil-a.
One consistently good restaurant with good prices is Rosa's Legacy, food is dominican, pretty much anything on the menu is good.
Wings are pretty solid in erie, try eli's or odi's 12
Khao Thai is not bad if you're in the mood for thai.
Haven't had luck with any italian food and the pizza is pretty terrible.
Heard good things about three b's for barbecue, but have yet to try it.
If you want anything higher end, save you money and go to cleveland, From my observations the upscale restaurants in Erie are really not very good and extremely overpriced.

Banh Mi in Charlotte

Zen International Market on Park Rd, near Carolina Place Mall. Grocery store, but they have a small little cafe area with a few Banh Mi options, including a tasty vegetarian one with Tofu. Both the BBQ Pork and Grilled Pork are great. $3.50 for a good sized sandwich.

Can't decide where to go for breakfast - help me pick please!

Best Biscuits I've had in Atlanta are at Pastries a go go
I love Rise n dine, but their biscuits aren't great
I too am obsessed with biscuits, and was really excited to try Flying Biscuits, but was sorely disappointed, I'd skip it.

Atlanta must-eats for visitors from New York!

Just to add to the other suggestions, they can't make good biscuits in NY, check out some of the great southern breakfast options in atlanta
My personal favorite is Pastries A Go Go, best biscuits in Atlanta, not too far from the Decatur MARTA station

Foods you love at Trader Joe's that got discontinued? [OLD]

Yep, almost everything I love gets discontinued...
first it was the tuna curry packets
then the spinach artichoke chicken burgers that they replaced with the smaller and not very tasty roasted chicken patties
Now its the amazing sundried tomato bruschetta that i used as a spread on every sandwich
They had the most amazing granola bars, nice and tart, also gone
I'm sure there is more I have forgotten or blocked out
Yet pretty much everything I have tried that I didn't like, is of course still there

best vegetarian in Charleston?

My whole family is vegetarian, and it seems like a majority of the better restaurants in Charleston, the only option was to order sides, which didn't sound appealing.
Five Loaves was great for lunch
Outside of southern style, Basil Thai is great if you like Thai food, plenty of vegetarian options.

Asian near Gwinnett Arena?

Only place that comes to mind in the immediate vicinity is Thai Diner at Discover Mills, which has surprisingly good Thai food and pretty good sushi. If you drive a little further down to Pleasant Hill Rd. and a few miles off the highway you have a lot of options. Book Chang Dong Tofu House for Korean, namely tofu soup. What the Pho? There are a lot of options in that area that I haven't tried but I am sure you can find more searching the board.
I've heard good things about East Pearl Seafood House off of Pleasant Hill, closer to 85, namely in terms of their dim sum

Recent transplant to Atlanta needing tips in a few areas

A couple indo chinese places:
Chinese Rasoi - there is a spot in global mall on jimmy carter as well as a stand alone restaurant in Roswell I believe, but was unable to find an address for that one, I have only been to the global mall location.
Hot Wok - Peachtree Industrial Road
Bamboo Garden - probably the nicest of the three, apparantly it is a small chain
http://www.bamboo-gardens.com/
Hot Wok seems to be the most popular, but I have had pretty good experiences with all 3
Some Indian restaurants also will often have some indochinese dishes

I don't know of any Pakistani Restaurants, I think Zyka may be Pakistani owned, it is more like Indian Fast Food, and is pretty popular with most people

I remember a few solid Jamaican Restaurants in the Lawrenceville, but cannot remember any of the names

Downtown Decatur: El Tesoro, Saba,
Virgina Highlands: Osteria, La Tavola, Pura Vida
Inman Park: Fritti, Sotto Sotto
Candler Park: Flying Biscuit( not my favorite, but very popular and lots of veg options)

For higher end, floataway and watershed are excellent choices, not sure on the vegetarian selection

Lawrenceville, GA (or nearby) suggestions?

Thai Diner at Discovery Mills has surprisingly solid sushi and thai food. Supermercado Jalisco for tacos and tortas. Verra Zanno Pizza and Traditions Pizzeria. Of course Super H market is close by as well. Also near super H is What the Pho and for Korean Book Chang Dong.

Some Food Finds in South Charlotte

While not as authentic as Dim Sum, I would check out JoJo's or Wan Fu, far better than PF Changs or Pei Wei. The lettuce wraps at JoJos put Pf Changs to shame
