Good Italian on long island is a myth!
I like Dimaggios on port blvd in port washington... i'm not a italian fanatic but I think the food here is awesome, and a lot of my friends think so too!
Sushi in Nassau? Zutto?
Yamaguchi-- main street in port washington (across from the train station) THERE IS NO COMPETITION.
Toku Modern Asian, Americana Manhasset
I've been to Toku 5+ times, and I'm always satisfied. My first experience was the best, however. The service was excellent-- the waiter was extremely knowledgeable and polite. We tried a lot of appetizers, a few entrees and some other things. You MUST try the spicy tun and wonton chips-- spicy tuna here is AMAZING. ALso, kobe beef bbq, seared tuna salad, gyoza, and chicken lettuce wraps. The sushi is alright, I like yamaguchi's sushi better, but Toku's is my second favorite. Their rolls are very big! Last time I went there I also tried the hot and sour soup... but wasn't a fan because it tasted very fishy for some reason. However, my parents and my friend loved it.
Japanese on Long Island
If you want excellent, fresh, delicious sushi-- YAMAGUCHI in port washington is the place to go. I've eaten at so many sushi restaurants and Yamaguchi still takes the cake. I've been going there since I was born. It's the freshest. The toro and salmon melt in your mouth. Spicy tuna isn't my favorite-- I like Toku's in manhasset at the Americana.... however there is nothing bad at Yamaguchi. It is the best. I am seriously a HUGE fan! YOU HAVE TO TRY IT!
