Looking for Romantic Dinner in Baltimore Area

The Prime Rib is great, we also had a very good experience @ Tersiguel's in Ellicott City/Howard County. If you like Italian, La Scala has wonderful service and food.

Baltimore Eats

I have heard (and read) that VOLT in Frederick is worth the drive. If you REALLY want to come to Baltimore - don't just come for the food! You will find much better choices in DC. But if you are coming to see some sights check out any of the Charleston group's restaurants. Cindy Wolf and Tony Foreman (sp?) have done a great job. Baltimore has a nice little Italy area next to the Inner Harbor - my fav there right now is La Scala... then go to Vaccaros for dessert. OR Fells Point (former fishing village - cobbled stone streets - shops and restaurants) is a nice place to visit. I honestly have not been out there in quite some time but Kali's Court or Black Olive used to be very good.

It really depends upon what you are looking for. Where are you from?

I have been wanting to try the Inn @ LIttle Washington - it is said to be fantastic.

Father's Day Brunch in Annapolis?

I have read the long list of posts about brunch in Annapolis, but have a few specific questions for you Annapolitans with kiddos. We are bringing the family (from Illinois) to Annapolis to celebrate Father's Day. We are looking for the best brunch that is also kid-friendly (five kids - from 3 monts to 10 yrs). I was thinking Pussers/Carroll's Creek or the Chart House? We are going to send all the boys on the "Pirate Adventure" @ 12:30 which leaves from Eastport. I really want to give my family the best Annapolis experience, and hopefully eat outside (if it isn't too hot!) with a waterview. What do you think will be our best bet? Thanks in advance for your insightful response :)

Best Brunch in DC

If you want a fun a differrent brunch experience (probably not the best food) there is a restaurant called Perry's with a 'Drag-Queen' brunch in Adams Morgan. http://www.perrysadamsmorgan.com/

the Source vs. Corduroy (sp?)

well, I have not signed in since my second post w/ a review of the Source. We were VERY clear when we sat down about my husbands SPECIFIC restrictions. We were in no way ambiguous about his shellfish allergy. The server and manager were very apologetic and took all blame for the unfortunate mistake. As I stated - the food was excellent.

the Source vs. Corduroy (sp?)

we went to the Source.... had the tasting menu with wine parings.....
my husband called ahead to make certain the chef could prepare a tasting menu with restrictions (he's a vegetarian allergic to seafood - but does eat fish) - they said no problem!
things were going swimmingly until we discovered shrimp in one of his dishes (big ones!)
needless to say there was a skid-mark.

The menu is great - the food was good - we probably won't be going back.

Have you tried Adour? We stayed @ the St Regis and went for brunch. Gina, the manager was amazing - as was our eggs ben w/ s salmon! YUM!! They have a 'Truffle' tasting menu right now that looks scrumptious.

Surprise 50th In Baltimore Area

Maybe something family style in little Italy.... I cannot really recommend anywhere for $15-$20 per person, unless for lunch........
I would suggest calling Martha Morningstar, she is the events coordinator for the Charleston Group (Petite Louis, Pazo, The Charleston, Chingale). I think their restaurants might be a little more than you want to spend, but she is wonderful, and might be able to work something into your budget. She certainly has her finger on the pulse of the private event venues in Baltimore.
Her number is 410.534.7296 or martha@thecharlestongrp.com
Good luck!

How much would you like to spend pp? That will help make choices. I also assume you would like regular American fare and nothing ethnic?

the Source vs. Corduroy (sp?)

Hi! I am coming to WDC for a birthday dinner... my husband made reservations at both the Source and Corduroy (spelling?) Which has the best tasting menu??? I doubt we will go wrong @ either, but would appreciate some advice.
Thanks so much!
