Best of Babka?

Karls Sausage Kitchen in Peabody has several flavors of Babka, can't speak to it's quality.

Wahlburgers

Been to Wahlburgers a bunch of times with my college age kids. Absolutely love there ultra thin red onion onion rings, never had better, love their malted frappes and really like there OFD burger.
For me it's a 20 - 30 minute drive and worth it as far as I am concerned .

Middle Eastern for dinner

Middle eastern food is my favorite! Back in the day I was in the old "Red Fez" in boston. weekly. Sat vacant for years then reopened a few years back but no where near the same..
I recently went to "Family" in Brookline and was great.. Had lamb and stringbeans.
Although Greek, the "Greek Kitchen" is amazing for Greek food. My Greek friend says just like Mama!

Does anyplace make a date shake, preferbly north of Boston?

Back in the 89's I remember driving along the pacific highway on the way to San DIego when we pulled over to a truck on the side of the road selling great date shakes. Hmmm, hmmm good !

Best South Shore Eats off Route 3

At exit 9 Rt 3A Kingston/Plymouth top of the ramp go left there is Mama Mia Pizza a great pizza and red sauce italian place with some home made pasta. Great veal parm sub with real veal, not paddy . There more upscale place "Carmellas" is next door. Father down Rt 3A in north Plymouth is Tuscany Tavern, dinner only only about 8 tables but very very good. South shore is a bit of a food wasteland but Orta and Tuscany Tavern stand out

Great Bread in Plymouth

For great from scratch bread on the south shore try "My Little Bakery" in Duxbury. Been open about a year, open Tues through Sun. The owner was head baker at some fine hotels and bread is delicious. Right next door is "Uncommon Grounds" a small batch coffee roaster. Celebes Kalossie is my favorite.
Both on St George street next to Farfars ice cream.

Duxbury -New Great fresh bread bakery and fresh roasted coffee

A new bread bakery has opened in Duxbury, My Little Bakery. Just opened a week and still gearing up. Everything made from scratch and organics as well. I have tried multigrain, pecan raisin, Olive/rosemary, onion foccacia,. They have several other types and have heard the chocolate/cinnamon available on Saturdays is great. They are open Wed - Sun starting at 10 AM
If you like coffee, right next door is Uncommon Grounds a small batch coffe roaster that has been there for over 14 years. No expresso or cappachino but exceptional coffee, Celebese Kellosi Viennese roast. Also amazing fresh baked muffins. All this is on St. George ST and next top Farfar's ice cream. Not to far away French Memories for great pasteries.

Cafe Barada

My favorite restaurant of all time may be the old "Red Fez" on lower Washingron St in Boston. Even though it have been closed for 10 - 15 years I bet it is still the single restaurant I have gone to and enjoyed. In the Duxbury area, once you get by Italian and Chinese ethnic food is nearly non existant. I checked this fprum and saw Cafe Barada in Cambridge mentioned. So off for an early Valentines dinner my wife and I ventured. Kids were away so the drive to Canbridge was just fine.
It did not disapoint!! The salad Barada was has good if not better than the Red Fez with it's Olive oil, lemon juice and mint dressing. The grape leaves appetizer were excellent as was the lamb and okra I had.MY wife had shish kabob was very good. We had baklava for desert and it was really great, not being overly sweet. All in all a great experience, only dowside, soooo far from Duxbury.
Will be giving Greek Corner. up the street, a try for lunch soon.

Where to buy Pork Roll in Boston?

There is a market here in Duxbury named "Foodies" and they carry that exact brand. They have another store in the south end of boston, maybe Washington St. that probably also carries that product.
