VEGAN/VEG RESTAURANTS

Do you know of any upscale indian restaurants at all? They would probably have veg/vegan options. I want to please the rest of the girls that aren't necessarily vegan! Bhojan seems to have a fun ambiance, that's the type I'm looking for!

Reviews for Bhojan seem so-so, do you know any other great Indian restaurants?

VEGAN/VEG RESTAURANTS

I'm not really looking for a relaxing type place. We are in NYC for a bachelorette, and we aren't a quiet group, so the goal is to have fun and eat great! But thanks for the suggestion!

VEGAN/VEG RESTAURANTS

Hello,

We are celebrating a bachelorette in NYC in July and the bride-to-be is vegan so we decided that all our evening restaurant choices should be vegan/vegetarian. I know of Candle 79 in the UES, but I'm wondering if there are any others. We are trying to look for fun places. Please let me know if you know of anything! We want to stay in Manhattan, and the budget isn't really an issue. If you know of a great Indian restaurant (that isn't a hole in wall type place, but more like a mid to up scale place, we would love that!)

Thanks!

Natalie

Looking for a fun/trendy resto for Saturday Nite!

Hello,

I will be in NYC with a girlfriend of mine for 1 night only.
We are looking for a restaurant that will serve a good meal, great drinks and offer a fun and trendy ambiance.

Budget: $$ (mid)
Cuisine: Sushi, Mexican or Italian (or something you might suggest)
Ambiance: Fun/ good bar / fun crowd (mid 20-35)
Area: I will be staying in the Upper East Side, so not TOO far, but I am not difficult.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions!

Thanks!

3 YOUNG WOMEN VISITING NEED HELP!

Hello,

Two of my girlfriends and I are visiting NYC for the weekend in the end of May. We are from Montreal - great foodie city and want to try 3 great restaurants (different themes on each evening and different budgets). For now, we have the following:

FRIDAY NIGHT
- Looking at either Peasant Wine Bar or any other fun/trendy/not too expensive authentic Italian restaurant (but that also serves "vegan" type meals. One of the girls is vegan)

SATURDAY NIGHT
- We are interested to try Bohemian. Reviews seem amazing. I haven't reserved yet. But I am hoping to get a place. Saturday night, we are willing to spend a little more - but still keep that fun/trendy ambiance. If you have any other ideas, pls suggest.

SUNDAY NIGHT
- Vegan Restaurant - Candle 79.

Good choices? Would need improvement? Any other suggestions?

Let me know!!

Thanks!!

Stain-Free Partying

I host parties like this all the time... where i have a set of rules and people don't seem to mind.
I have beige carpets, beige couch...not ideal!

In winter, i ask people to bring their shoes, but in summer, I ask people to wipe their shoes, even hand them a cloth.. being a woman who loves shoes.. I understand the importance of shoes going with an outfit.. but I also don't want shoe stains on my carpet! There is compromise!

As for the alcohol, instead of saying no red wine.. I say White Alcohol only, be inventive! from white wine, to port, to hard liquor, to beer..my friends are quite creative and understand that they aren't always careful and so several measures need to be taken...

What's New and Good in BYOW places?

I was at L'Atelier on Saint-Laurent over the weekend!
Prices on the menu include tip and taxe!
So you pay what you see!!
I had the rabbit poutine and the bison tartar! Both delicious! :)
Its not very new... but still quite good!

What's the best place for breakfast in Montreal

I sadly agree as well. I have had great brunch experiences at L'Avenue and Beautys though..
Tiffanys on Decarie and L'Anecdote on St-Hubert/Rachel haven't deceived me. But nothing to write home about..
