Cocktails in Salem (MA)?

You could go to the bar at Finz; the bar area is nice. You could also sit outside. There's also the hotel by the water with a nice bar area. And then there's Gulu Gulu, which is a bit more of a walk, but not bad on a night like tonight. Enjoy!!

Brunch by the Ocean in Swampscott

Grab brunch at Red Rock Bistro in Swampscott right on the ocean! Their brunch menu is fantastic! I've had just about everything on their brunch menu! I'd recommend the eggs Benedict or the waffles. Have a mimosa too! Sit by the window so you can look out on the ocean. There's on street parking but plenty of it. They have a few different Bloody Marys too! Try one out! The waitstaff is efficient and accommodating and very friendly. They have a jazz band on Sundays. The band is ok, but go there for the brunch! You'll enjoy it. It doesn't break the bank either. In the summer, you can sit outside by the water! I hear they have $1 oyster Monday nights though I haven't been yet. They have a lot of drinks on their drink menu - some are great and others are eh...ok. Enjoy!

Moving to Cape- who are the local CH's?

When you go to the Cape, you must get to the Ocean House in Dennisport! It's so good! It's beautiful inside too. Great views of the ocean from their grand room! All white and beige decor! Lovely!!

All Season's Table in Malden MA - excellent!

This place is right near my office, so we eat there quite often for lunch, and it's wonderful. The food is served fast and the waitstaff is efficient and accommodating. They have good lunch specials, and the portions are good - not too big and not small. Sometimes five of us go to lunch and split three meals. The meals can be made spicy or not depending on what you like. The lunch meals come with a side (crab rangoon or a spring roll AND soup). The decor is hip and modern. There are many things to choose from. I've had the sushi there too, and it's very good. The presentation is fabulous! Lunch entrees are around $8.00-$16.00 and could feed two people. Try them out. Parking is a bit tough, but you can get there on the orange line; just walk about three blocks toward Malden Center, and you'll see it on Pleasant Street. If you drive, you can try to find street parking; it might be tough though.

Great local Italian place in Swampscott, MA

I've been to Caffe Paulina twice now, and both times, I've had super meals! The owner is there and treats you like you are part of her family. She's helpful, funny, and very accommodating. Start with the arancini -- fantastic! I like the tortellini in white cream sauce -- so good. It's a bring-your-own-wine place, so you end up getting out of there fairly cheap -- no added alcohol expenses. The meals are around $15-$25. Not bad! It's small and cozy too. There's parking as well!! There's a large parking lot right out front. The caffe holds about 25 people (booths and tables). The decor is not anything special, but who cares! The food is great! I had the mussels the last time I went -- very good!! Try them out!!

Cafe Hugo in Paris

Go to Cafe Hugo when it's warm out; sit outside; drink lots of red wine, and eat fois gras! You'll love it! The setting is gorgeous; the waitstaff is superb; and the food is to die for! Five stars! Fantastic!!
