Last year, we had some excellent chicken at the "Henne" restaurant in Berlin. Apparently, the recipe is secret, but does anyone know--or can anyone who's been there venture a guess--what it might be? Was it spit-roasted or friend? And what were those amazing spices?

My fiancé and I would rather serve fruit tarts and pies at our wedding than have one enormous wedding cake. Can anyone recommend any good bakeries in Brooklyn? I've already gotten in touch with Baked in Red Hook and Joyce in Park Slope. Would love to hear other recommendations.

We're considering the MB as a wedding venue, but probably won't be able to have a tasting before we have to commit (they don't schedule tastings but rather invite you swing by when they're having an event so you can taste the food then; unfortunately, there aren't any such events planned any time soon, we were told).
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with their in-house catering. Who is their caterer and how was the food? Also, was anyone quoted a price per head?
