Help! Ideas for good catered or frozen hors d'oeurves

Any particular products you can recommend at Loblaws or Costco? Some are not so good.

Help! Ideas for good catered or frozen hors d'oeurves

I'm having a cocktail party for about 40 people and in addition to the usual cheese, nuts, veggies I do, I want to have some hot and cold passed hors d'oeuvrves. I don't have time to make much myself so I'm looking for ideas on sources. A caterer is possible but I'd rather avoid the cost. Has anyone found any frozen options that are really good? Most of what I've tried over the years has been average or poor.
Alternatively, is can you recommend a caterer who can provide stuff like this in advance at a reasonable price?

Last supper

If there is nothing suitable downtown, I'd consider going outside. We want to see the city anyway so maybe in an area we an spend some time walking around and then go to dinner. I'm open to options :)

Last supper

Hi everyone, I'm going to be in San Diego for the first time this week and I need to plan dinner for my husband and me for Wednesday night. I'm flying home on Thursday Morning and will be having surgery that will make eating very difficult for the next several months. So what I'm really planning is my last great dinner out for a very long time.

Help!
Details: we are staying downtown/gas lamp area and won't have a car. Not opposed to taking a taxi some distance but not really up for a $50 cab ride - I'd rather spend it on dinner.

We are adventurous eaters but in this case I want delicious more than unique. High end is good but not required.

So help me. Where would you plan your final meal out for months?

Resto near Queens Quay

I'm going to see a performance at harbourfront tomorrow night and we're planning to go for dinner beforehand. Any suggestions on somewhere nearby (walking distance). Last time we went to Il Fornello and it was abysmal.

Chinese or Thai Food Delivery Parkdale

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a decent Chinese or Thai restaurant that delivers to Parkdale - Queen & Brock?
Any other good delivery options for the area are appreciated - We're tired of pizza and takeout Pho.

Las Vegas Tasting Menu Deals

I saw an article in a local newspaper about how cheap Vegas is right now and one of the things it mentioned was that some of the top restaurants were now doing fairly inexpensive tasting menus to help drive in customers. I'm not talking really cheap - just less than you would usually pay for a multi-course meal at these types of places. Does anybody know which restaurants these might be? The article wasn't very specific and I can't seem to find it again. Also generally looking for recommendations on the best places to go - though I know there are lots of other posts about this on the board.
