Mozza - Closest thing to pepperoni pizza?

The salumi pizza is good. But the one I always get and is ridiculously awesome is the tomato, oregano and olive oil pizza. It's cheeseless. Tell them to add the Fresno chiles on it and you've got the best pizza ever made.

Takeout/delivery in West LA?

Having a bachelor party tonight for a friend and wanted to know any recommendations to good takeout food or delivery in West LA, near Westwood. Type of food doesn't matter. Thanks.

If you were on Death Row

and the warden told you you could have any meal you want (restaurant food, frozen food, home cooking, combination of whatever, etc...), as long as it was limited to four courses, what would you dine on for your last meal?

Shirking responsibilities for Mozza

A friend of mine said last night, will they franchise this place? Can I own one of these? Ha.

Shirking responsibilities for Mozza

Was there last night and had high expectations. The joint delivered! Started off with the same arancini bolognese, which were good, not great. Too small, not enough filling and too little sauce. Also had the affetati misti and the cured meats were great. Pizzas? My favorite last night and for the future is the salami piccante, mozza & hot chilis. Damn this was good. Crust is seriously unbelievable, too good. Crisp yet chewy. Why aren't all pizza crusts everywhere else like this? Perfect size as well if you're eating it alone. I had to share and couldn't get my hands on the slices quick enough. The other pizzas we had were great also but since they didn't have the tomato sauce on them, was little less pizza like. Can't wait to go back and could only pray that they should start delivery service. For a day like tomorrow, with big college football games on, having a salami piccante pie with a bottle of cab at home on the couch would be like going to heaven. Viva Pizzeria Mozza!

Forgot, also had dessert, two different ones with ice cream. Both good. Can't say they changed my life, but really wasn't there for dessert.

Chili Cheese Dog Chimichanga ????

Besides trying to make one of these myself at home and splattering grease everywhere, does anyone in LA make this? Last time I had was at a golf course in Sylmar (it's closed now)....chili cheese dog wrapped in tortilla and deep fried.

Thanks.

The Best Hot Dog I've EVER had... you'll be surprised!

I'm sorry. The thought of eating another one of those chimichangas got me crazed. The Burn on the Turn was at the Cascades Golf course in Sylmar. Maybe ask them before you go out there. 818-833-8900...Remember to get at least two because you'll be sorry if you only get one....which was what I did.

The Best Hot Dog I've EVER had... you'll be surprised!

There is/was nothing better than the food item called BURN AT THE TURN at the Simi Hills golf course. It is/was a chili cheese dog chimichanga!!!!Biting into that deep fried tortilla and finding a chili cheese dog inside was the best damn thing I may have ever eaten! Only if someone else in this city could replicate this, we'd all be happier.

Need Help with Omakase @ Azami Tonight

Excellent place and yes, I mentioned the Tas Trout to everyone I knew since it was the first time I had had. Was great but I ordered omakase and didn't get the cut lobster roll. Disappointed to hear others did. Is this a normal part of the meal?

Fresh pasta?

I went to Divine Pasta/Cube on La Brea and they didn't have any regular fettucine. They had fresh fettucine such as sun dried tomato fettucine, etc.....but couldn't get just fettucine. Was not thrilled about that. Had to buy up parpadelle and wasn't thrilled with it when I cooked it up. Some of the pasta was still stuck together, wasn't great experience.

Dakota at The Roosevelt?

Just went there recently. Decor ain't bad, nice chairs. Service wasn't bad, nothing great. Food did take a while to come out. Ordered steak, medium, and got almost well done. Was late and didn't want to wait around another 20 minutes so just ate it. Place is fine but not exceptional, nor remarkable.

Norman's Pig Roast on Friday - Wonderful

I couldn't agree more. Was there on Friday night, excellent service, great food, but the place was mostly empty. Don't understand why this place isn't packed every night. Drinks may be a little on the pricey side for the younger crowd.

Dying for Great Chinese Delivery - Hollywood/Highland

In this area, which is my neighborhood, there are other takeouts but Manderette is the best. We're not talking about best Chinese takeout in LA or California, just in Hollywood.
