Mad Donna's - Nashville, TN

Mad Donna's
1313 Woodland St
Nashville, TN 37206
(615) 226-1617
http://www.maddonnasnashville.com

Had dinner @ Mad Donna's last night and here is what we thought:

--Environment: after waiting close to a year for this restaurant to open we were hoping for an impressive eating environment. Unfortunately the long wait was all for not. The environment is very plain with a very basic seating layout. Main dining room sits on the first floor with a bar/dance floor on the 2nd floor.

--Service: Greeted by a friendly hostess. We decided to eat on the 2nd floor/bar area and unfortunately we felt they were understaffed. They had 1 bartender that was also acting as the server for this floor. Definitely could have used an extra set of hands.

--Food: ordered the stuffed burger (more like a hamburger meat with jalapenos, mushrooms mixed in) w/fries and a 22 oz. Stella. Burgers are cooked to order which is nice. Burger was a bit greasy; the hamburger was seasoned well. Fries could have used more time in the fryer. Total bill for burger and beer was $16 w/o tip. Seems a bit high for Nashville considering I can get a bacon and cheese burger with a stack of fries @ The Smith (www.thesmithnyc.com) in NYC for $13. Currently no lunch service.

Mad Donna's is a nice place to meet for drinks and appetizers. Prices are a bit high for the quality of food they are producing. Let's see if they can work the kinks out and step up their game. East Nashville is waiting....

Rosario's - Nashville

bummer to hear about your experience @ Rosepepper. here's my take on Rosepepper..it's fine if you're meeting up with 4-6 friends for beers/margs and some better than Nashville average mexican food. a couple of friends, some drinks and a huge plate of nachos out on their deck is really all it's worth. if you're looking for out of the world mexican this is not the spot.

Rosario's - Nashville

Rosario's
1200 Villa Pl
Nashville, TN 37212
(615) 329-1977
http://www.rosariosmexicanrestaurant....

checked out Rosario's this week. here's what we thought:

--environment: simple and clean dining room. plastic covers on the dining table was a bit ghetto. nice patio area which I can't wait to sit in when spring rolls around.

--service: service was attentive but there was only 3 tables dining.

--food: ordered the cheese enchiladas and beef tacos. food arrived cold. enchiladas' cheese was not melted and they brought the enchilada sauce on the side which was a bit odd. the beef was cold and not seasoned enough.

--price: expensive considering the execution and quality of their food.

overall a disappointing experience. if anyone has any recommendations on decent mexican in Nashville please send them. thnx.

TOP SEAFOOD IN FLA

if you're in Ft. Lauderdale and into crab - The Rustic Inn (http://www.rusticinn.com/).

they're famous for their garlic crabs. most people go with the blue crab. i go with the maryland golds. usually go with 1 steamed and 1 garlic with a linguine with 1/2 red mussel and 1/2 white mussel sauce. perfect meal for 2.
