It would be a mini road trip but worth it. I stumbled upon the cake bar in Franklin and had a great carrot cake cupcake. Turns out the owner just opened up shop after winning $10g on the food network cake challenge. It is a small shop but they do custom cakes and 3 different size cupcakes.
She was featured on tv diner recently.

I took my kids to The Deluxe Town Diner yesterday. Place was jammed[45 min wait] Home fries were great, 7 grain Toast was terrific but my Greek Omlette was very mediocre. My daughter had Choclate chip Pancakes that she thought had too much choclate in it. Go figure.
Beautiful setting..they did a great job with the construction of the place. Service was a bit off but I chalked it up to being so Busy.

Russo's sells those Baguettes from Au Pain Dore and I know Grill 23 and the Palm among others serve them in their Restaurants. I am a Huge fan as well.

Hello..my wife would like Thai for her mothers day meal. We are going to go out on Saturday evening. Her complaint is that most places are too americanized. Whats the best authentic place in the Brookline and surrounding areas. She loves tofu dishes..and wants spicy, spicy, spicy, as do I. Any help would be great. We live in Newton but will travel. Z Square Cambridge?
Cambridge location had a problem with the liquor license. They also are not paying vendors. Really mismanaged all around. Too bad the bar staff in Cambridge were good folks.
Another Great Meal at Ristoronte Olivio
with tip it was $110.00 Had 3 Amstel Lights along with the meal. As far as I am concerned it was a GREAT meal.
