If you want the real deal for Dim Sum then go to ABC Seafoods in China Town-Downtown. Very good and the real stuff bit getting down there can be a pain sometimes. I still think on the Westside VIP is the best.

The Gardens of Taxco-West Hollywood (family owned and great food)
VIP Harbour-West LA (Great Dim Sum & good food in general)
Versaillas-West LA (I like the one on Pico the best)
Kettle-Manhattan Beach (Cheap & great for breakfast/ local favorite)
Rocky Cola-South bay (good after a night out and cheap)
Izzy's Dinner-Santa Monica (Cheap and been there forever)
Noshi Sushi-West LA (great sushi, cash only place)

Nick's Coffee Shop on Pico has been a favorite for breakfast for years.

Please help with good places to eat between Temecula and Escondido for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner that won't kill my pocketbook. Not looking for chains that you can go to anywhere. El Indio is one of my favorite places but too far to drive on this trip to SD.
