Oyako Donburi in DC

I occasionally get oyako don at Sakana on P St in Dupont Circle. Their ramen is not bad either.

Cuba Libre opens in Penn Quarter

I thought I read somewhere they were having 50% off for the first week of the opening and 25% off for the second week. Anybody know if that's true?

Foodie Faves in Alexandria, VA?

I would strike A la Lucia. I tried the place for the first time last thursday. Every course was awful. Even the house salad was awful. The dressing was no more than a sprinkling of balsamic vinegar (I think that's what it was supposed to be). Even the lettuce had an off flavor. We didnt gamble with ordering dessert. As we got our check, we overheard another couple telling the owner/manager that the food was completely unedible. Maybe it was an off night for them.

Dinner in Dupont

I'm a huge fan of Hank's Oyster Bar (hanksdc.com). It's a casual sit down restaurant. I love the Hog Island style Bbq oysters. Even my friends who don't like oysters loved the bbq oysters.

It's pretty popular, so it's better to call ahead on your way there and have your name put down on the waitlist.

For takeout, I like Zorba's.
