Red Sauce Restaurant Howard Beach Area Rec Needed
LaVilla - on the other side of the belt parkway or La Nora on Crossbay.
Octopus as a main course.
Yiasou in Sheepshead Bay (Emmons Ave.) serves as an appetizer which I have ordered with a tomato salad as a meal. It is deliciously grilled with good olive oil and lemon. Ymmm.
I've done DiFara's but who is #2
New Park Pizza on Cross Bay Blvd. for great neighborhood pizza.
The Family Store Bay Ridge
Have you tried the shrimp and crabmeat lasagna? It is FABULOUS! (Yes, I am screaming and jumping up and down.) You can special order it to be sure Sam has it. It's difficult to single out one food better than another at The Family Store. Everything is finely cooked with close attention to fresh and creative ingredients. Lately, I had the roasted beet salad (of course, the best I've ever had), macaroni and cheese - superb, grilled portobello mushroom salad - ummm. Just walk into the store and you will start salivating. The desserts are dangerous. My mother, who doesn't like take out food, will only eat from "Sam's". She raves about his pork chop.
Red Hook ball fields report

I heard E meets W is not going to open the habachi place there. I hear fish. Do you know anything?
Naples Restaurant Recommendations Needed
Da Dora. Must reserve in advance. Delicious food in charming small very local restaurant. An added highlight is Dora's singing. Don't miss it.

Are you thinking of Z Teresa? I would prefer Da Dora.
Need a Sheepshead Bay Update
I don't get what people like about Maria's. Do have to try the Greek place however. Il Fornetto, I also don't get. Don't bother with Halikarnas either.
Best lunch/dinner w a view in Venice
The restaurant (don't remember the name) at the San Clemente Hotel which is on an island about 30 min. by boat (they have a shuttle).
Need a Sheepshead Bay Update
Liman is the only restaurant that is still decent in Sheepshead Bay. It is next to Dunkin Donuts on Emmons Ave. I believe Lundy's closed and Randazzo's is terrible for anything but raw seafood.
All I know is that there are Poppy seeds in it its roll like fashion help!
Do you mean Humentashen? Shaped like a 3 cornered hat with poppy seed filling called mundt. Usually available around Purim.
Most romantic dinner in Venice Italy for 25th Wedding Anniversary
San Clemente Palace Hotel on San Clemente Island - the hotel occupies the entire island and both restaurants at the hotel are marvelous.
Good butcher/fishmonger in BAY RIDGE?
A good fishmonger is Chef with Sole on 3rd Ave. bet. 85 and 86th Streets. Ask for Brian, the owner. The workers are not as helpful. For meat: Piazza Mercato on 3rd Ave. near 92nd St. They are related to Royal Crown and sell Royal Crown bread, there.
short notice - nice table
Crispo on 14th St. near 8th Avenue. Sit in the back room if you have a choice. Everything is good.
Venice Dec. 26-30
Read this book: "Venice Osterie" by Michela Scribilia. Got mine thru Amazon. We used it within the last month and found it to be generally accurate descriptions of foods. It's the Feb. 06 edition.
Seeking Baked Clams
Near Kennedy Airport - on Lefferts Blvd. is Don Pepes. Their food has gone down hill over the years. The only thing I still love there are the baked clams. Extremely fresh and delicious.
