Magical restaurant near-ish the Theater District that's ok with well-behaved children

Kids are seeing their first Bway show next week - a matinee. Would love to go somewhere special with them afterward for dinner (e.g. not Shake Shack). My kids are used to eating at great restaurants - in Boston they've been to No. 9, Hammersly's, Erbaluce, etc. They can find something to eat and know how to behave in most places, but I also don't want something too intimate, as we'll be eating around 5:30 or 6.

We'd like to stay midtown-sih, as we are meeting folks for drinks there later that evening, but can venture out of the theatre district. Don't want to go all the way downtown.

Thanks!

sorry for the delay - i like to support restaurants that support local food economy. if you want more info about the value of local food, check out Michael Pollan's works, Animal Vegetable Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver, or any other number of resources that demonstrate the importance of local food.

Best South Shore Eats off Route 3

The meals we have had at Sabor's in Plymouth have been among the best we have had on the South Shore, and rival the food we used to have when we lived in Boston.

Oh, and great bloody marys would be the icing on the cake. Is that too much to ask? Doesn't have to be all GF, but would love a place that might have some GF alternatives. Any thoughts or suggestions?
