Hi: Try Molinari Salami. They have an outlet so to speak in the Ferry Building.
Favorite type of raw oyster? (Seattle)
Thanks Lauren. I was asking about an oyster happy hour like they have/had at Elliots. At Elliots during the weekdays, anywhere with in the tiled floor areas, you could partake of the oyster happy hour starting at 3: p.m. The oysters were house choice, but started at 50 cents an oyster and then moved up in price every 20 minutes. I would order and eat 3 dozen oysters. Does the Brooklyn or any other place have that kind of oyster happy hour? thanks, cog.

Chinese Banquet in the Richmond District
Well, folks, now that the language barrier is through, what about the locations, what about the food, dishes suggested? Thanks. Cog
Chinese Banquet in the Richmond District
Further to the original post, and Melanie's suggestion, I have visited the following and am considering them:
Ton Kiang
Tong Palace
Mayflower
Hong Kong Lounge
Yet Wah
Golden River
Superior Palace
Unfortunately I do not either read or speak the language so I am at great disadvantage when it comes to the ordering of the food. Similarly, negotiations are also difficult. But, let's face it, if I could speak they probably wouldn't speak my dialect. Anywy, any comments or suggestions are appreciated. Cog.

Melanie: Thanks. I thought about listing th places I had visited, but decidd against doing so as that might limit the replies to those sites, which I do not want. I did visit Yet Wah, but alas no time to eat. Cog.
Chinese Banquet in the Richmond District
I am looking for recommendations for a site for a Chinese banquet , 7-9 courses, at a restaurant in the Richmond District of San Francisco. Approximately 40 people. Information and suggestions hopefully will include, availability of parking, liquor license, corkage fees, dishes to be included (preferably seafood), cleanliness - a non-sequitur for a Chinese restaurant (?). Cost can run as high as 450 a table. I visited several locations, but unfortunately did not have the time to eat at them. Any help would be appreciated. The occasion is a wedding rehearsal dinner. Thank you. Cog.
