Visiting NYC Jan 23 - 26, Where to EAT?

Thank you so much for all the info. Yes, we are staying at 70 Park Ave. Hotel. Thanks for letting me know about the Park Ave. & Park Ave. South thing. I'm just waiting for a Trader Joe's to open a store here in Rochester. I only get to visit one about once a year. I'm not used to standing in lines, living up north here. Thank you again.

Visiting NYC Jan 23 - 26, Where to EAT?

I'm visiting NYC from late Friday afternoon to late Monday morning. Staying at 70 Park Ave. Going to the 8pm show Saturday night on 42nd & 7th.

This is a "girls weekend", no husbands! There will be 2 of us, one is a very picky eater and I'm open to anything but raw fish and the nasty bits!

Take me for a real NYC food tour in the hotel and theater areas we will be in. Pastries for breakfast, a yummie on-the-go lunch, and a really good but not too expensive dinner ($20 - $50 per person dinner). Also, the best coffee, cheesecake and cupcakes.

I'd love to find a few fun food shops, fabric and bead stores, and a good place for oriental paper products etc. I think I'd like to go to Grand Central Terminal, what's cool there? Is there a Trader Joe's grocery store in the city?

Thanks for anyone's help!
