How do I remove boiled linseed oil from my new chopping block?
Wait, what? You're going to return something that you messed up? That's a crappy thing to do. What if they try to sell it again?
Great deals at Costco
Couple new items spotted at downtown Costco today: marcona almonds and Anna's ginger thins cookies in a huge box. I've gotten the almonds from the US before, but this is the first time I've seen them here.
Creamy Speculoos in Vancouver?
You can order it directly from Biscoff.com. I just got an order, shipped very quickly. They have a crunchy version as well. Get the cookies too.
Whistler Sushi?
Don't bother with Samurai, it's more of a take-out place. Fast food sushi if you will. Sachi is really good, and so is Nagomi sushi in the Le Chamois hotel.
Zeuski's
It's been gone for 3-4 years. There is another Greek place in the village, Kypriaki's I think, but it's not the the same owners as Zueski's or anything. I haven't eaten there.
Cookie Disaster! Help! MS messed me up "again"..... :(
Are you sure you're using 1/2 cup of butter and not 1/2 pound of butter? A pound of butter is 2 cups. The only reason cookies spread too much, like dead flat and completely spread out, which sounds like your description is too much fat or not enough flour.
Is there a (reasonably priced) or/and bulk nut store in Vancouver ..looking for RAW nuts..
If you have a Costco membership, their almonds, pecans and walnuts are raw and reasonable. They do carry cashews and mixed nuts, but they are roasted and salted.
Whistler / Blackomb Breakfast
The Wildwood at the tennis club is closed, but the one in Function is still open. Double Diamond has been closed for years. We do have grocery stores here, so I wouldn't say that you absolutely have to stock up elsewhere.
Cuts like a knife, and it feels so right: where to sharpen your beloved blades in Vancouver
I got one at Costco, they seem to show up sometimes. I think I last saw them at the downtown one.
