Dyker Heights quick/cheap/takeout recommendations
The Vegas Diner is nearby-- we go there every year after the lights. Classic old-world diner.
Breakfast at the Chip Shop?
I understand that they serve a "full english" breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays-- has anyone tried it?
Frankie's 457 Lately?
I went there once with a party of four, and found it so noisy that I could not hear the people next to me talking. They should remove some tables to address the noise. I also found the menu to be more limited than I had imagined before I went-- it was hard to put a meal together.
Virgil's BBQ-- A review
I ate there last night with my two daughters. The service was prompt, but the overall impression was that NOTHING was served hot. Not the soup, burger, fries, chicken or the side dishes. I understand that it is a high volume place, but they have a real problem here if they can't serve a bowl of soup that is not hotter than room temperature. Am I asking too much of a place like this?
I need pre-made (frozen?) chicken kiev ASAP!
United Meat Market, on Prospect Park West in Windsor Terrace has frozen ones.
