MOVING TO DOWNTOWN/FIN. DISTRICT, NEED AFFORDABLE RESTAURANT RECs

My favorite downtown in Waterstone Grill. Seafood restaurant, menu changes frequently, but they have some staples that seem to be permanent. I love the Chilean sea bass, and the lobster ravioli. Prices are around $20 ave. for an entree, about $8 for an appetizer. Desserts are about $8 also. Located down on Stone Street between Broad and Hanover Sq. really cool in warm weather with outdoor seating. Many other restaurants on the street to choose from. But this is my favorite. Welcome to the neighborhood!

brunch in financial district- recs?

Stone Street has a bunch of restaurants that do brunch. Of note, Waterstone Grill has a prix fixe brunch for $10.95 on Sunday with all you can drink for $10 addl. (mimosas, bloody marys)
Waterstone is closed on Sunday, try Becketts.

Financial district mid-priced professional lunch

I work in the financial district at Goldman and dine downtown about 4 times/wk for lunch and a couple times for dinner and/or happy hour drinks.

My personal favorite is Waterstone Grill, especially in the summer time when there is outdoor seating. Waterstone is mostly seafood with some pasta and steak option. Also good selection of salads and sandwiches for lunch.

Prices are reasonable, actually the chef just introduced a new menu and a supplemental $20 3 course fixed price menu for lunch.

Service is average for the area. Decor is a little dated but a bit more classy than the typical bar/tavern decor that lines Stone Street.

I also like Adrienne's Pizza and Bridge Cafe as alternatives, but Bridge is a bit of a walk for me.
