I recently bought preserved lemon at the Los Altos Draegers. Two days later I found the greatest Moroccan ingredients at Casablanca Market 793 Castro Street, Mountain View.
We've enjoyed many tangine dishes in the last few months. Enjoy.

Market Hall Foods?
I ordered online some wild fennel pollen and candied violets from Market Hall Foods. I didn't know they had a physical presence nearby (in Oakland). I was impressed with the quality and packaging of the goods. It is an hour drive for me to go see the store location and wonder if the trip is worth it. If you've been, please tell me your opinion.

Specialty cake in Bay Area
The first cake Kathy's did for me was a 1968 (aprx) dodge dart car. I brought a picture and she made the car exact right down to the trim and plate number. Very impressed and then she made many kids cakes for me, including a ghost buster's 3D cake.

New England Style Hot Dog Buns
I saw a delivery of buns to the Old Port Lobster Shack (Redwood City) done by Le Boulanger. I have no idea if it was the "local" one. When I called MY local one, they said they did not bake anything like a lobster roll bun. King Arthur Flour has pans and recipe should you decide to make your own next round. I have used the Safeway bakery hot dog buns that come about ten in a row. You cut them apart, butter grill the sides and top split them to fill. I made 36 of them for a Superbowl party and many people commented on how good the rolls were.

Top Nosh savory pies
While I have purchased a time or two at Andronico's, they are cheaper at the farmers' markets. I really love the mushroom pie and the butternut squash one. My only complaint is that there is no nutritional information available for any of them. Tasty for sure though.
