tofu noodles
thank you everyone--I will try a few of these restaurants. I love these yuba dishes!!
tofu noodles
I'm looking for a restaurant that serves a dish using tofu sheets (usually then cut so as to look like noodles). I think it's also called tofu skin or yuba.
Thanks.
abba zaba candy bars
I know you can get Abba Zabba bars at Cost Plus stores out here in Northern CA. Do you have those store out your way? Or a friend out here who could send you some.
bakery/peninsula
Thank you Melanie----I'm heading to PA today, and I'll try Mayfield tomorrow morn. Seems with all the well-off foodies in that area, there would be more good bakeries. I live in Santa Cruz, and we have at least 3 excellent bakeries!
I'm willing to drive just about anywhere on the Peninsula to get my pastry fix!
bakery/peninsula
I am looking for good bakeries in the Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Mt. View, etc. area. I love pastry----both Danish and French, but I haven't been able to find a really good bakery in these areas. I go the P. Alto often, but don't live there. Any suggestions??
Blum's coffee crunch cake----help
Thanks for the replies. It was the Yasukochi Sweet Shop I was trying to find. The cake is just right---not too sweet, but deliciously sweet enough. Got the info off your link, wineguy7----thanks!
Blum's coffee crunch cake----help
There is an Asian-type small grocery store that has a small bakery in the back. This bakery makes Blum's famous and delicious coffee crunch cake, among other goodies. I have been there once, but forget where it is. I think off Geary somewhere, but can't be sure. Thanks.
house made pasta
I am going to SF, and would like to find a few restaurants that make delicious home made pasta. I will be staying in the downtown area (near Union Square), so that is the first choice, but will have a car. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
