WRETCHED Meal at Tiffin Last Week
We had dinner at Saffron in Ambler last night - perfect as always. Even though they couldn't find our reservation, they were very gracious and seated us immediately. We live in Ft. Washington and also make the Mt. Airy drive frequently, it's easy and quicker than you think it will be.

I'm taking my husband to Saffron for a birthday dinner this weekend. I've never had Indian food before, so I'm clueless as to what is an appropriate wine to bring. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I heartily agree - the flatbreads at Earth are delicious. My husband enjoys their home brewed beers also.
Reasonably priced restaurant in Chalfont area?
I live in Ft. Washington and will be meeting friends who live in Montgomeryville for dinner. We usually meet in Chestnut Hill area, but I thought there must be good places towards the Chalfont area. Anyone have any suggestions for restaurants or other equidistant towns? Thanks.

They do have them in bulk, but only a handful of varieties.

What about In The Bag in Maple Glen? Their bagels are very good, though on the weekends you need to get there early before they sell out.

We tried to order lunch from Trattoria Maria in Spring House and no one answered the phone. Rumor has it they have gone out of business. Heard anything else?

Thanks for the suggestions. I've tried and liked Bocelli's and Mirna's. I'm always up for a a good margarita - are El Sarape's as good as the ones at Tex Mex?
