Sushiso Masa

I don't think it was 30 pieces...after a few rounds he would give the look like "you want more" and just nod yes or no.

So about $300? I assume that was for one person. I still think about my meal there everytime I eat sub-par sushi in Los Angeles...I need that happy place in my head!

I ate there finally in September and it truly was amazing....I am looking right now at my AMEX, and dinner cost $490 for my wife and I, and that was only with ordering 1 small bottle of warm sake. Expensive, but worth it. Any more questions, feel free to ask me.

Our family trip to Japan, so far

I can't wait to hear what you have to eat in Hiroshima as I will be there in a few days!

Best Okonomiyaki in Hiroshima?

I heard Hiroshima is very well known for Okonomiyaki. Who has the best, perhaps one that is not a chain place...someone recommended Mitchan at Naka-ku, but was hard to find any up to date reviews on this place. Any thoughts of where to go? Thanks.

Kyoto-Yoshikawa or Tempura Yasaka Endoh?

I am sure this has been debated tons of times here when comparing tempura places to eat at in Tokyo, but between these 2 in Kyoto, I have heard nothing but greatness about Yoshikawa, but Yasaka looks good too, albeit a little too touristy? Thoughts please.

Great Places to eat in Hiroshima/Nara

Thanks for the suggestions...nothing is set in stone. We were gonna do Hiroshima in the morning, then goto Miyajima and see the monkeys and what ever else on Mt. Misen. What would you suggest I do? From what I thought, Osaka is just like going to any big city? Any help would be great! BTW, I am from Los Angeles...and my inlaws live in Fresno....So I avoid that area as much as possible! :)

Great Places to eat in Hiroshima/Nara

I will be doing some day trips to Nara & Hiroshima from Kyoto next week, and would like to know of some great places to have lunch at. Does not have to be sushi as I have some high end sushi places reserved in Tokyo & Kyoto.

I am planning on eating there in a few weeks (1st time to Japan). What credit cards do they take? and did you leave a gratuity or was a service charge already included? What non alcoholic drinks are served (for the wife), is it common there as it is in the US, to order a large beer and pour the chef a glass?

Encore - Las Vegas

I have a rez at Switch on Saturday @9:30pm, dress code seems very laid back...jeans ok, just no flip flops, tank top, bathing suits etc...from what I was told, side about $10, entrees from $28 (vegetable kabob) to $61 (24 oz porterhouse)...
