need breakfast/lunch rec. for New Britain, CT near CCSU You may be better off heading to West Hartford, which is only 10-15 minutes by car. Mediza, on Lasalle Road, has very good middle-easter inspired food; Front Street Bakery/Cafe, also on LaSalle, has pannini's, soups and baked goods (I think they ar open for breakfast also). If you want to stay on New Britain Avenue and head towards Hartford, the Corner Pug (corner of New Britain Avenue and New Park) has good burgers, sandwiches, and I think does weekend brunch. Elmwood Pastry Shop, also on New Britain, is a bakery that serves a large assortment of traditional sandwiches, the kind you took to school as a kid, and always has a daily sandwich deal that includes chips and a dessert. YOu could also just head into Westfarms Mall, also on New Britain Ave not too far from CCSU, they have the usual assortment of mall food, but that includes an Au Bon Pain, which frankly, makes pretty good sandwiches. |

Two great places in Hartford area: Naples Pizza in farmington near Miss Porter's, most like NY pizza we have had, and Joe Pizza on Route 44 in Canton (and they make the best fresh ground, hand shaped burger I've found nearly anywhere) |

We'll be in Cape Ann/Gloucester area for Labor Day, where are the lunch/dinner must eats? Seafood, regional, any ethnic is fine by us. Casual. No fine dining, no tourist traps. Thanks. Rachel Gee |
