reds beer

so when i was in russia 3 years ago, i got hooked on a certain beer called reds beer (i think...it's been a while). yet, i haven't been able to find it ANYWHERE. not online. nothing. i was able to find one blurry picture of it, but i'm not even sure if it was the beer i'm looking for. it was a very sweet beer a.k.a. girly beer. that's pretty much the only thing i remember about it. anyone know what beer i'm talking about or where to find it? please help.

pizza in philly

is there any good and affordable pizza in philly? i'm from new york, so my standards are pretty high. but philly has such great restaurants, i just can't believe that there really is no place to find quality pizza. delivery is a must.

Center City Sushi: Genji or Shiroi Hana??

never been to genji, but shiroi hana was good. shinju sushi far surpasses it though. i think it was on 9th and locust, but i could be a little off. it's kind of tiny, but in a non-crowded/intimate way. their sashimi is ok, but their special rolls are amazing. and there are photo illustrations of them on the menu, so you really will want to get everything. i was really sad when i found out they only deliver within a 5 block radius (i live on 39th).

Three days in Philly

i don't know how inexpensive you're looking for. but i've heard good things about little fish.

and i think the tasting menu at tinto was the best bargain i've ever had ($35 per person if i remember right). and it kind of forces you to be adventurous because they give you such a wide variety of dishes.

BYOB help

branzino is good--i've been a couple times. my favorite dishes were the mussels and the gnocchi. but i've never found it that hard to find a decent byob in philly. they're everywhere.

if you're into sushi, shinju is a really yummy byob sushi place. it's small but has great rolls. and if you're into margaritas, lolita is a byot (bring your own tequila) mexican restaurant. you bring the tequila, and they mix margaritas for you. lots of fun. it's not your typical tex-mex mexican (not quesadillas, tacos, etc.). it's more authentic mexican food.

Dinner near walnut street theater

i second the estia suggestion. i know you say they're not adventurous, but try to convince them to order the octopus. i know it sounds scary, but it really tastes like a calamari/chicken hybrid. and so far, i haven't found anywhere that does it better than estia.

BEST GNOCCHI IN PHILADELPHIA?

branzino is also worthwhile. i haven't had it in a while, but i've always found it very light for gnocchi. it pretty much melts in your mouth. if you do end up going there, make sure you get the mussels as an appetizer too.

In Philly weekly for business-- where to eat?

i don't know about 10-15 minutes away, but the best restaurants i've ever eaten at in philly are: la quoix, estia, tinto, and shinju (shinjo? not sure) sushi. la quoix is a really upscale/expensive french place, but has some very unconventional yet yummy dishes. estia is a greek/mediterranean place that uses very fresh ingredients--try the grilled octopus. you won't regret it. tinto is best explained by its website. i think the food is spanish/french. the tasting menu is amazing and definitely worth the price. i've heard good things about their wine selection as well. and lastly, if you're into sushi, shinjo is a hidden treasure. their sashimi is okay, but their special rolls are unique and incredible. oh, and they show pictures for each roll so you're going to want everything. the most memorable was the spicy tuna crunchy roll.
