Oishii1 question

Thanks for the help. I do believe that the forst was indeed Jeffrey's maki. The second, remains unclear. The presentation was similar tothe "torched hamachi with sweet miso" however, the fish I saw was minced so finely that it looked more like a paste. It also was not torched.

Thanks for the suggestions. Rachel's sushi sounds very good. We plan to return this week and hope to solve the mystery.

Oishii1 question

My fiance and I ate here the other night and had a great meal. While we were there, we couldn’t help but notice 2 items that were ordered numerous times by a number of other patrons. From the descriptions on the menu, I haven’t been able to figure out what they were so that we might try them next time. I am hopeful that someone here can help me out based on my attempts to describe the items.

First item was six rolls generously topped with a mound of what looked like mayo based crab and maybe tobikko among other things I could not identify from afar. This entire “thing” was them placed in the broiler before serving.

The other item I can only described as a mound of finely minced raw fish mixed with some other ingredients them served on a boat shaped leaf. Japanese mayo may have been involved here as well.

While I’m at it, we would appreciate suggestions on other items to try. This past visit, our favorite was Paula’s Maki. The lemon slices added nice acidity to balance the salmon.

Thank You.

Where in Wellfleet were you able to do this? Was it only during the festival?

Martha's Vineyard luncheon for 50?

Thanks for the advice. I am planning all this for next summer. So there should be plenty of time.

This is one day of a wedding week I am planning, the actual wedding will be later in the week in Woods Hole. We are also planning a clambake, but this is for another day on the Cape. The tentative plan for MV is to take the ferry as a group and have a coach waiting for us at the terminal. We will have a half day tour of the island and would like to include lunch somewhere nice yet affordable.

Thanks again.

Martha's Vineyard luncheon for 50?

Any suggestions? This is part of a wedding weekend, and we are looking for something fun and casual.
Thanks
