Countless Sunday brunches with my mother and sister at the Sheraton Hartford (Conn.) Hotel in the late 70s / early 80s. Dad was the executive chef there. Good times.
My current drink of choice:
Really OK right now with twisting open a cheap bottle of Hogue merlot.
I really wish I could:
... make everything from scratch.
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
Christmas Day at my house: Arugula Salad, Prime Rib, Yorkshire Pudding, Horseradish Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Baby Carrots, and a Yule Log cake.
My favorite comfort food:
Taylor ham, egg, and cheese on a roll.
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
1. Arnold's Lobster and Clam Bar (Cape Cod, Mass.); 2. Pink’s (Los Angeles); 3. Hank's Oyster Bar (Washington DC); 4. Lou Malnati’s (Chicago); 5. Stuff Yer Face (Rutgers University).
My most tattered cookbooks:
My 10-year old copy of The New Basics Cookbook is in three pieces.
