Yes, of course gaijin. I should say walmart or carrefour, not uniqlo. Perhaps deserving of another thread - Narisawa. An impressive artistic effort, but kind of like eating a Picasso. Maybe its just my comfort food instincts, but I regret not just going to Aux Bacchanales for the Choucroute at 10% the cost. |

A snapshot of Tokyo dining in 4 Days: where MUST we dine? For Izakaya I would recommend Komahachi Honten, near the NEC Super Tower in Mita. Some English ok and the master will give you some freebies. |

I have to go with the previous post that recommended The Orchard Room at the Okura Hotel. Best french toast anywhere in the world. I would also add French Kitchen in the Grand Hyatt at Roppongi Hills. These two venues have been the power breakfast spots in Tokyo - Orchid Room more old school, French Kitchen more new (lots of foreign investment banks in Roppongi Hills including CS and GS). The Peninsula at Marunouchi also has an awesome breakfast but pricey. |

I was at Creations of Narisawa last night and was disappointed by the poor dress of some customers. Wrinkled jeans, unqlo shirts. Didn't see any t-shirts, that was a plus. |

Fun place to dine with teens in Tokyo Gonpachi at Nishi Azabu crossing is a good choice. Something for everyone, decent prices. This is where Koizumi took Bush for Dinner in 2002. |

If have been to the sbarro in Shibuya and had to spit it out. Horrible. Sbarro in USA even better. I hate to say it, but one of the best pizzas available in Tokyo is Costco. OK, so closest Costco is Kawasaki. Price is nice too, 1500 yen for a giant pie. |

I love the fries at Kuaina Burger, a few locations around Tokyo. |

2 or 3 star Michelin restaurants near our hotel Tokyo? There is also Les Creations de Narisawa, supposedly "the best restaurant in Asia." its actually located at Akasaka 1 chome, but not too far from Shinjuku. Other posters are correct - your hotel is directly in front of the southern entrance of Shinjuku station. |
