Restaurant Recommendations Near Heathrow Airport

Thanks so much for the details on the timing of taking the tube into London. I think that is definitely what we will do. It sounds easier, less expensive, and gives us many choices of restaurants. Thanks to all for your helpful comments.

We would not thought about taking the tube. That's a great idea!

Restaurant Recommendations Near Heathrow Airport

I have gone back as you suggested to read previous posts on this topic. One of them suggested dining in Chiswick as there are several Michelin starred restaurants there. Are you aware whether we again are looking at an expensive taxi between Heathrow and Chiswick? (We are only making an overnight connection in London, so dining early and then heading out to Heathrow isn't an option for us.)

Restaurant Recommendations Near Heathrow Airport

My husband and I plan to stay at a hotel near Heathrow the last night of our stay in London because of an early morning flight, and we would like to have a nice dinner that last night. We've considered dining at La Belle Epoque at the Sofitel or staying at the Danesfield House in Henley, dining at the Adam Simmonds restaurant there, and taking a taxi to the airport the following morning. Any thought on those ideas or other suggestions would be appreciated.

Willamette Valley Oysters/Sparkling Wines

My husband in I will be visiting the Willamette Valley region and Oregon coast over the Thanksgiving weekend. We will only be in Portland to fly in and out, so we looking for restaurants around the Willamette Valley or Oregon coast that have a good raw bar. Our other passion is sparkling wines. We know of Argyle, especially their rose brut, but are there others of particular note we should visit? Thanks for any suggestions.

Are there "not to be missed" Rioja wines?

My husband and I will be traveling to Spain and France late this spring. We will spend three days in Bilbao and three days in the Rioja region before heading into France. I know determining what is a good wine is, at least to some extent, a personal thing. But while we are in Spain, we would like to taste some of what are considered to be the "best" Rioja wines, either at bodegas or in restaurants. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Are there "not to be missed" Rioja wines?

Thanks for your suggestion to search and post on the ch wine board, and the vibrantrioja website. I do have Maribel's guide to La Rioja and am using her thoughts to help identify bodegas to visit. And, of course, we will enjoy tasting in Bilbao!

Are there "not to be missed" Rioja wines?

We reside in Texas, but have traveled to France extensively with various wine itineraries, and also to Spain a few times, but never to La Rioja. I do enjoy some of the Tempranillo wines I can purchase here.

Restaurants between Toronto and Quebec City

The menu at Les Fougeres sounds wonderful. This was exactly what I was hoping for, so thanks very much for the information. The restaurant's website actually is:

Restaurants between Toronto and Quebec City

For our vacation next July, my husband and I will be flying into Toronto to start the trip and out of Quebec City at the end. We are debating whether to drive or fly from Toronto to Quebec. I wouldn't mind the 8-9 hour drive if there are interesting or scenic restaurants along the way that would allow us to break up the drive. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
