Amsterdam for one night only

I have an overnight layover in Amsterdam. I haven't been there in over eight years, so naturally I'm really excited to check it out now. Unfortunately, I will only be there on a Sunday night, which apparently is the night that most restaurants are closed. Does anyone have any good recommendations for a nice Sunday night dinner?

Thanks!

Catch of the Day, Egyptian Style

This place is fantastic. Asmak Taama is run by an incredibly friendly couple who are very passionate about their cooking. My boyfriend and I brought our own bottle of wine, which we were allowed to discretely drink during our meal. The wife showed us the freshest fish that they had in the window and told us how she recommended cooking it. We got a whole fish for each of us, a plate of shrimp and rice with a spicy tomato sauce, and the best baba ghanoush I have ever had. The chef/husband was so happy to cook for us — he even ran to the local bakery and bought us Egyptian baklava as a thank you. I can’t recommend this place enough and wish it was closer to my apartment!

Vegetarians and dim sum?

I really enjoy the Vegetarian Dim Sum House on Pell Street in Chinatown. I went with a meat eater and he's definitely a fan this place. The veggie pork buns are awesome.
