The Royale with Cheese is an excellent burger. |

In n' Out coming to Round Rock I last had In-N-Out 11 years ago in SF. Always remembered how good it was. We were in Dallas last weekend and happened to stop into an In-N-Out, and boy, it did not live up to my memories. Nasty fries, worse milkshakes and a ho-hum burger. After having all the great burgers in Austin (P. Terry's especially), there's no need to drive to RR to get this. I wouldn't cross the street to get In-N-Out again. |

I love their Central Market frozen pizzas from Italy. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find anything but bare shelves where the Quattro Formaggio and Mozzarella pizzas should be. Checked 3-4 HEBs and Central Market but they've been gone for a month now. |

Way South Philly. End thread. |

Just tried Way South Philly. Amazing! Highly recommended if you need a good cheesesteak fix. |

All in all a great event, BUT: Portions are way too big. I want to sample as much as I can, but paying $6-7 for a giant helping is ridiculous. Most vendors offered a $2-3 "sample" size of one thing, but ALL the things on their menus should be half the size and cost $2-3. Even with sharing with my wife we were full after 2 trailers. Also, be a bit more descriptive in your menu items on the top of your trailer. I don't want to stand in a long line just because everyone has to ask you what the "Original" is. Beer selection was kind of weak as well, even in the craft beer section. I don't consider Shock Top a craft beer. Sounds like a lot of complaining, but we had a great time. |

Haven't tried it, but Lux Bakery on Wm Cannon has them. Chocolate or pumpkin. http://luxbakeryandcafe.com/menu.cfm ----- |

Found it today. Ms. P's Electric Cock ( http://www.electriccock.com/ ). Amazing sides as well. Try the purple cabbage and gorgonzola slaw. It's in a trailer on South Congress. BTW, I found Top Notch's chicken to be just OK. Crispy but very greasy. Left me feeling kind of sick. ----- |

Brief stay, two or three meals (was BLAH BLAH BARTON SPRINGS, below) Jack Allen's has some pretty damn good CFS. |

I tried one of their concrete's the other day. Pretty good! I was unaware of the Culvers, I'll give that a go soon. I'm kind of a custard fanatic. Hard to find good custard away from the midwest and northeast. Also, there's no reason to eat the food at Freddy's as there's a P. Terry's across the street! |

Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers chain set to open soon on Wm Cannon near Costco. Anyone tried this chain? I'm looking forward to the "concrete" custards. |

Best fried chicken at the Highball, huh? I love that place. Very cool drink menu, too. |

Doesn't Mellow Mushroom have a whole wheat crust? Can't go wrong with that, especially dipping the crust in their esperanza sauce... ----- |

I found this googling around: http://www.yelp.com/biz/hyridge-groce... Anybody ever been to Hyridge Grocery? I may have to check it out. That's the kind of place I'm talking about...it wouldn't be a soda-only store, usually a cool little neighborhood grocery where the owner has a passion for sodas. |
|

Anyone know which market/store/bodega whatever that has the best variety of cane sugar sodas? I know I can get Mexican Coke, Sprite, Dr Pepper and Pepsi just about anywhere, but I'm looking for a store that might carry dozens if not hundreds, similar to http://thesodagallery.com/index.shtml in Dallas. BTW, I'm moving to Austin next week! |

What's the peatiest, smokiest scotch? Laphroaig Quarter Cask gets my vote. |

Bulleit? Bulleit. How do you say that? I don't know how to pronounce it, but I sure love drinking it. If you have an ABC liquor in your area, it's on sale through Dec. 31 for $18.99! If you even moderately enjoy whiskey, It's a must buy at that price. |
