Long Island Eats (low-key)

Hi everyone!! Happy summer.

Looking to get out of the city for a day this week and take a train ride out to LI for a low-key lunch. No real requirements, except that the place be within walking distance of some LIRR train stop and clearly not be in Manhattan any more : )

Thanks in advance! KOBI

ISO: Great dinner near LIU - Brooklyn

Hi everyone,

Happy New Year! VERY open to any cuisine / price range, looking for a cute date place near the LIU - Brooklyn campus (at the intersection of Flatbush and Decatur) for Thursday night. Would prefer red-sauce Italian if possible, but really open to any ideas. Caffe E Vino looks like the current favorite.

Thanks very much. Kobi

ISO dynamite Chinese or Thai — NYU / Union Sq. area

Rhong Tiam, on Laguardia b/w west 3rd and bleeker. Just got a Michelin Star. Although probably undeserved. Still very good, tasty, HOT thai food.

ISO: Greek in the Village!

Just finishing a chicken souvlaki (no tomatoes, with pepperocinis) from Karavas and it was great. Could have had a little more chicken, but a fantastic sandwich. Thanks.

ISO: Greek in the Village!

Hi all,

Looking for solid greek (salads, gyros, souvlaki, etc) in the Village (am right near Washington Square Park) preferably for delivery. Not looking for anything fancy, just tasty greek food in the area (which I have yet to find). I enjoy Snack, but not really what I am looking for here.

Thanks so much. KOBI

ISO: Dinner near Brooklyn Law

Very unfamiliar with the area, looking for a casual date spot for tonight near Brooklyn Law School (civic center / BK heights / cobble hill, i guess?). No real cuisine preference but Italian would be great. Looking to spend 15 - 20 per entree or so, but willing to go higher for a great experience. Probably will be eating on the early (5?) side, if that matters.

Thanks very much! KOBI
