Definitely the top meals I've had were ones that I have prepared from ultra fresh ingredients. One of my Scampi recipes with some fresh linguini and veggies from the garden...with some homemade bread. How do you beat that?
My current drink of choice:
Coffee: 100% Columbian/100% Arabica....Alcohol: Fresh limes with 30/30 Reposado and Simply Lime. Beer: Rolling Rock. Wine: German Riesling Kabinett QmP....and of course my favorite of all: Water!
I really wish I could:
Spend a summer in a village in Italy...living, celebrating, conversing, eating...and playing jazz a few nights a week. Oh yeah!
My favorite comfort food:
Pasta with seafood, unquestionably. Lately: Colcannon w/turkey kielbasa. Oh!! And red curry or panang curry dishes....can't quench that craving.
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
Cunetto's On the Hill, St. Louis, MO ....... Salvatore's... Scarsella's...Leo's ....Cafe Cimmento ...Antonucci's ....and a few others in Youngstown, OH ... Lemongrass (new) and Ellendales in Nashville, TN .... Rendesvous, Memphis, TN (BBQ - also Famous Dave's chain is amazing) .... Patsy's in Manhattan .... The Chart House overlooking Biscayne Bay in Miami, FL... is that 5 yet?

My recipe box, for sure. American Women's Cookbook (1950) is most tattered. Beautiful Italy getting tattered. Italian Celebrity cookbook from JCPenney, too. Anymore, so many recipes on line!
