Great Hot Dogs at Rutt's Hut? Fuhgedaboudit!
I love the relish at Rutts. It seems homemade & unique. That's one of the things that make me stop there. Do you care for any relish?
Red Bank, pre-Basie dinner
We recently dined at Monticello on a Saturday night with 2 other couples. I was pleasantly surprised after having read all of the negative reviews on Chowhound. Also, my DW & I always enjoy Temple. Our latest visit was in January.
Trader Joe's to open in Monmouth Co
Trader Joes is limited to 2 retail liquor licenses in NJ under state law. Costco too.
Cheeseburger Cheeseburger now open in Holmdel
5 Guys is a fast food restaurant without a drive-thru. I usually eat in a restaurant (not a takeout person). That being said, I have to alot more time at Cheeseburger being that it is a full service establishment. Good experiences at both hamburger joints!

I emailed Trader Joe's. They replied with "no comment". They did say that new openings will be posted on their website: http://www.traderjoes.com/stores/coming-soon.asp

Grist Mill ---> The Falls ---> MJ's ?? (Tinton Falls NJ)
This past Saturday night, I took my wife out to give it a try. We walked in & asked if we could sit on the outside deck. We were seated immediately. My wife ordered a Cosmo & me a bottle of Heineken. We wound up splitting an exotic salad with a burger for the wife & a Cuban Sandwich for me while taking in a million dollar view & the sound of the falls. Great value at $40 with tax. The place was fairly crowded with a lot of families & after dinner we walked upstairs to check out the bar scene, where the entertainment was getting ready to start. We'll be back! Maybe even with the kids.
So what is your favorite resto --- Atlantic Highlands/Highlands area
Well said! One of my all time favorites. Great memories. We also have been eating there for over 22 years.
Need help with a wedding reception
Ocean Place in Long Branch has plenty of "GREAT" options. As far as the food goes, go & taste it. Here is the link for their weddings: http://www.oceanplace.com/weddings_and_special_events/

It always seemed to me that there is PLENTY of parking!
Antonio's Trattoria - Wall
My DW & I decided to meet another couple on Wednesday night for an early dinner. Two of the dishes were ordered with the homemade capallini & one of my friends ordered a special with homemade wheat pasta. I don't have time to go into detail, but we all enjoyed this lovely BYOB restaurant. It was too hot to sit outside, but maybe next time.

You might want to check out Blitzburgers. It gave me the feel of an upscale diner which might work fine for a lunch gathering. http://www.blitzburgers.com/
Northern Monmouth County Fine Dining
Are non-licensed restaurants permitted to allow customers to bring their own alcoholic beverages (byob) for consumption with their meals?
Unless there is a local ordinance prohibiting it, customers of an unlicensed restaurant may be permitted by the ownership of the restaurant to bring and consume only wine and beer. The restaurant can supply glasses, ice, etc., but may not impose a cover, corkage or service charge. Also, under no circumstances may spirituous liquor be permitted. There may be no advertising whatsoever of the fact that wine or beer may be permitted. Additionally, the owner may not permit wine or beer to be consumed during hours in which the sale of these products is prohibited by licensees in that municipality, nor allow consumption of beer or wine by persons under the age of 21 years or by persons who are actually or apparently drunk or intoxicated. (N.J.S.A. 2C:33-27).

Doris & Ed's, Trinity & Fromagerie (no particular order). Just to be fair, I've only been to Nicholas once & it was for a private party which I thoroughly enjoyed. Also, I am excluding BYOBs as I equate "fine dining" with at least 1 cocktail.
Hanami- Wont be back Ever!

Johnny Piancones~Long Branch
I believe that they opened the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I love trying new places & convinced my wife & older son, that was home from college, to go on the Saturday night of Thanksgiving weekend. The 3 of us were quite impressed & had plenty of leftovers to bring home. I was hesitant to write a stellar review because of fellow hounders that frown upon restaurants without websites. I'm sure that a good one will be forthcoming. I had salmon over pasta, my wife had short rib ravioli & my son had a chicken dish that I don't recall. Great value compared to new restaurants in the area & we will certainly return.
Rallo's ~ Deal (Formerly Mister Cee's)
Finally got there last night. Crisp new feel to the space. Started with the Shrimp & Calamari- Jumbo shrimp, calamari, garlic, tomato, basil & for my entree had Rigatoni – Bolognese, veal, beef, pork, tomato, grated parmigiano. Both were excellent including the portion size. Also enjoyed a Heineken on tap. All of the staff that I encountered seemed very professional. http://www.rallosbar.com/
