Best Cookie delivery place in LA?
I highly suggest Isabella's Cookies. I have used them several times and tried them myself. They have yummy varieties ( I love the peanut butter bomb!) and they come packaged very nicely as well. www.isabellascookies.com
Where would you go for a romantic special occasion (anniversary)?
our go-to place for romance and good food is Chez Mimi on 26th and San Vicente. Ask to sit by the fireplace and let them know its your anniversary- you will definitely get special attention.

I recently got it at Vons. The location I go to is on Pass Ave. in Burbank, but have seen it at a few others as well.

I would suggest Holdren's on Newbury Rd. They have some fun desserts in a good atmosphere appropriate for a birthday.
Getty Restaurant for dinner?

Just had lunch at the Getty Restaurant on Saturday. Was definitely impressed with the lunch menu. Our food, drinks, dessert and server were all spot on. I am vegetarian, so I was glad to find they had options for me as well. I think this would also make a great special occasion dinner spot. Can anyone comment? thanks!

Need Help with Rehearsal Dinner Location in San Clemente or Dana Point
Ive been to the coutside restaurant at the Rancho San Clemente tennis club. It offers a spectacular view, privacy like you mentioned, and the chef is amiable to creating a menu specifically for your party for a reasonable price.

I would highly suggest Layers in Sherman Oaks. People are still talking about how good my wedding cake was, and that was over a year ago!

We started with a bottle of Veuve-cliquot to toast the evening. I had the salad special. greens with pear,walnuts and blue cheese. My husband had the tomato soup and escargots. All of the above was well prepared and very tasty. For the main course (along with a bottle of the bougelais(sp?) I had the spinach and cheese ravioli, and my husband had the duck in black cherry sauce. Again, perfection. They treated us to the dessert special which was an old fashioned sugar pie. It was delicious and I have never tried anything like it, but am now a sugar pie fan. So the surprise of the night was that my godfather had called ahead and taken care of the bill- so I am unaware of the total. My best guestimate would be 200 (?)

Had the most amazing 1st anniversary dinner at Chez Mimi last night and a big thanks to the chowhounder suggestion to go there. The ambiance gave the feeling you were in a lovely french country home. The service was perfect and our waiter knew of our special occasion, and made it even more special. Food was top notch, and the gifted us with a yummy dessert and apple liquer. Was perfect from start to finish!

This Saturday is our 1st anniversary, and we plan on indulging in a really good meal in a romantic setting. Some suggestions I have received are Il Cielo, La Cachette and Melisse. I have not been to any of the aforementioned places, but I do know that we want a romantic setting (maybe fireplace and not too loud/crowded) and some good food. I am vegetarian and my husband is not a fan of tiny portions. any suggestions?

Riviera Country Club
I had my wedding reception at BABC last November. So not only was the food amazing from cocktail hour, salad service, and the main meal ( I had the stations) , but the staff was incredibly attentive and it was worth every penny. I would absolutely recommend BABC. Also, I utilized their florist, who did an excellent job and fulfilled every specific request I had perfectly. please let me know if you need anything else!
