stoneys at 14th and p is only a few blocks from the hotel. good burgers and other bar food. its always got people in it for games (it is where i end up for a bunch of them).

Funnel cakes?

its a little far from annapolis but philadelphia water ice has funnel cakes. the closest place is in DC though.

Sunday night near McPherson Square

depends on what you want really. you are only a few blocks south of logan circle where there is pretty good thai or ethiopian. and you are not too far from beck also if you wanted that kind of stuff.

Nando's Peri Peri Chicken

on 7th right above H. next door to Hooters and across the street from RFD and Fado.

New Street Cart Vendors to hit DC

nope. it usually closes around 2 or 3 pm.

Bananas Foster

acadiana was my first guess since it's supposed to be new orleans style food. but according to their online menu, they don't serve it. my guess would be trying some other southern-style places.

where to get Corn Tortillas in DC?

try just about any supermarket. the giant in columbia heights has them, i bought them there last week.

Lunch near 14th and G NW

cafe mozart is right over there. good deli counter with lots of yummy german food.

all you can drink mimosa/bloody mary brunches?

red rocks pizzeria in columbia heights has all you can drink mimosas. they have a full brunch menu including all their pizzas.

Holiday Market

it depends on the vendors. i've strolled by a couple of times and its been gyros and funnel cakes, but other times it was bbq or other random food. there is generally 2-3 food vendors there at a time. if you are in the area, it doesn't hurt to swing by and see whats cookin.

Hot Dog Carts

theres a good hot dog stand outside of gw law at 20th and h. the lady who runs it has been written up in the paper a lot.

she serves chicken hot dogs so its somewhat healthy for you. i forget her name but i think everyone just calls her the cart lady

La Divina Gelateria

I live around the corner from la divina and have been there a couple of times. while it is good, i also feel that it is extremely expensive (a medium gelato costs over 5 bucks, a small i think is a little under 4 dollars).

there is another gelato place opening up about 4 doors down, called sucre. Its supposed to be open within the month. I'll be curious to see if competition will cause the prices to change.

New Orleans Wedding Location Ideas

I attended a wedding in the courtyard of the Royal Sonesta. It was done very nicely but I don't think it is big enough for 150 guests.

Best Late Night Dining....

rosies is open 24 hours but i'd recommend against it. took forever last time i was there for service and food.

st charles tavern is good and i love clover when im in the FQ. and camiella grill, although, not open yet, is supposed to open with the next 4 weeks again.

Emeril's Nola?

I had a great experience at NOLA's. I sat upstairs and the service was wonderful (best I've ever had) - it was pre-K though so I dont know if its changed, but I'm a big fan of the place.

Purchasing Seafood in New Orleans - HELP!

The place on magazine is Big Fisherman. Its right by Bulldog, Nacho Mama's, A&P, etc.

I get my crawfish from there and am always satisfied. they have crabs and shrimp also

I know there are a couple of other places on jefferson hwy also right before you hit the causeway.

Mat and Naddie's Lunch Buffet?

Has anyone headed over to Mat and Naddie's since they started the lunch buffet? It's 10 bucks a person but I was curious what choices there are (beyond the salads, soups, etc)?

Anyone care to comment on their experience....?
