Looking for a cod loin recipe

This is my favorite baked cod recipe, from Michael Leviton, it is delicious and I have made it several times.

Roasting with high heat cooks the fish quickly and keeps it from drying out. If cod is unavailable, use any kind of thick white fish such as haddock, hake, or pollock.

Olive oil (for the baking sheet)
2 pounds skinless, boneless cod, or other white fish,cut into 4 even-sized pie
¼ cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon lemon juice
¾ cup panko
¼ cup grated Parmesan
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley 
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
¼ teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 lemon, quartered (forserving)
1. Set the oven at 500 degrees. Oil a rimmed baking sheet.

2. In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise and lemon juice.

3. In another shallow bowl, combine the panko, Parmesan, parsley, garlic, paprika, olive oil, salt, and pepper.

4. Place the fish, skinned side up, on the baking sheet. Spread the mayonnaise on the fish, then top with the panko mixture, pressing it lightly.
5. Bake for 7 minutes. Turn on the broiler. Slide the fish under the broiler for 30 seconds, watching it carefully, or until the topping is browned. Serve with lemon.

Searching for a great Hot Dog as winter winds down.

My favorite if Fred's Franks or Speed, but another year round local option is The Dockside in Chelsea (across from Market Basket). They have 2 jumbo Pearl franks with fries for $7 on the menu.

Lobster, live and kicking... $3.99lb, Market Basket, Woburn.

I agree and I always buy live, just mentioning what I overheard from other customers. Apparently some people love lobster but can't handle personally killing it. One buyer talked the fish-counter-man into removing the rubber bands before steaming it, to avoid getting a rubber taste on his lobsters.

I picked up 2 lobsters at the Chelsea Market Basket, 3.99/lb and they do have a numbering system at the fish counter but a 45 minute wait to get it steamed.

Pairings in nearby Winchester can put together a very nice gift basket, and deliver it for free. They don't have fruit, but you can get wine, cheese, crackers, candy, cookies, jam, etc.

The New Brown Jug - Beware!

I stopped in to check out the new location last Sunday, and it was packed. I couldn't get a seat at the bar, so went over to the New Bridge Cafe, which was empty. I went back a few days later to pick up a Pizza for take out. It was great, but I could tell they are still working out the kinks.

Perfect Manhattan

When I was a bartender many years ago, we would of course use sweet vermouth in all Manhattans. The exception was if someone ordered a Southern Comfort Manhattan, we used dry vermouth, due to the sweetness of the Southern Comfort.

The Gruet is a great choice for domestic sparkling wine under $20, but if you want real champagne for about $35 per bottle, I recommend the Duval-Leroy Brut, which you can get at The Spirited Gourmet in Belmont or Winchester.

Venetian Moon Reading- What a joke!

Your experience at Venetian Moon is typical of what they are like. I used to go there every few months only because I worked nearby and had few other options. Every time I visited I swore it would be my last time there.

The food, wine and martinis are fine, but the attitude and service are indeed a joke!
