Need recs for a Japanese restaurant in Vancouver/Kits area
Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I've made resos at Yuji's, they have a minimum charge of $20/person for parties of 6 or more, but I don't think that will be a problem.
Dan would have taken the reservation, but they recommend pre-ordering or the food comes really slowly, so I decided to go with Yuji's. Plus they have teriyaki chicken on the menu, and is within stumbling distance of where we are staying.
Thanks again, and I'll let you know how it goes!!
Need recs for a Japanese restaurant in Vancouver/Kits area
My bf and I are from Victoria, but will be in Vancouver in a few weeks for a hockey game (GO CANUCKS!) and his birthday, and need recommendations for a Japanese restaurant. There will probably be about 10 people total, with a couple of very picky eaters - one will only eat Teriyaki chicken and rice. All of the good Japanese places we know or want to try aren't good for picky eaters. I am hoping to find a place that serves Teriyaki, but also really good sushi/sashimi, ideally in the Kitsilano area as that is where we're staying, but will travel for good food.
Any suggestions will be appreciated, I've lurked on these boards for a long time, and I've never been disappointed with the restaurants recommended on here.
Thanks in advance!
Lunch in Victoria - need recommendations
Il Terrazzo does lunches M-F. Great prices as well, pastas are between $10 to $12, and are identical to the ones on their dinner menu. I think the portions are probably smaller, but still a good deal.
Tantakan Shochu in Victoria?
Thanks fmed. My aunt owns a restaurant here in Victoria, I might try to order it through her.
Tantakan Shochu in Victoria?
Sorry, I do mean Tantakatan. I saw it on the menu at Hapa, but they were asking for $60 a bottle compared to about $12 in Japan.
Tantakan Shochu in Victoria?
Hi, does anyone know if this is available here, or do I have to go to Vancouver for it? It`s for a Christmas present, and I don`t know if I`ll be able to head over there before Christmas. Thanks!
By the way, I`ve been reading this board for a while now, and I want to thank everyone for all the great info that`s available here. Now when I go to Vancouver, I don`t care about shopping anymore, I just want to eat!
