What should I expect at Barclay Prime?

Thank you. Not a good idea to let the public know the price isn't based on the value. Anyone try the chicken?

Thank you. I saw a picture of it on a website and was surprised at how simple it looks.

Foods most commonly prepared badly... that are great when made well. (Who knew? What's the key?)

Any kind of shrimp. It's disgusting half cooked, and it's tough when overcooked. I even had shrimp at a place in S. Philly that was mushy and fell apart.

When you're hungry and craving shrimp, it's incredibly disappointing.

What was/is your favorite birthday cake?

Hey, no one's mentioned Carvel ice cream cake. Ever since I discovered it when I was a child, I've had it every year, except twice - once for my sweet sixteen (had a real cake for the party and I didn't eat it at all) and once when we tried a Baskin Robbin cake (the cake part was dry, and there wasn't enough ice cream) - two very big mistakes. The chocolate crunchies in the middle are what keeps me coming back very year, especially since I can buy extra crunchies and sprinkle (ok, actually it's "pour") them on top. Amazing.

What should I expect at Barclay Prime?

Has anyone been there lately? A bunch of my coworkers and I are going this evening for drinks then dinner. I am wondering about the dress code and the cost of drinks.

Are the diners in suits or might "upscale" business casual be okay?

A few drinkers are going to the bar for pre-dinner drinking. They drink a lot. What are the costs of drinks there?

One of us will be ordering the $100 cheesesteak. He's had it before and says it's great. Anyone have the kobe beef sliders?

And my last question is - anyone try the organic chicken? I'm a small eater, especially at an after 8pm dinner, so I'm wondering how big it is.

Thank you for any and all comments and opinions in advance!

Has anyone eaten at The Fountain, at The Four Seasons Hotel?

Thank you for your responses. We've since decided to not invest in The Fountain, but dine a few more times at Devon Seafood. When I do get there, I will post a follow-up message describing my experience. Thank you again.

Has anyone eaten at The Fountain, at The Four Seasons Hotel?

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone has been to The Fountain for dinner recently. I am more of a Matyson's, Devon's kind of girl, but am very happy to dress up and enjoy elegance and fine dining at The Fountain.

Will be going there Thursday for dinner. Any reviews on the food or service? How about prices? I won't be drinking, but am thinking of having the filet mignon or the lobster.

Thank you!

Alisa
