Best Coffee in Toronto?

Yeah sounds exactly how they would reply. You gotta take it with a grain of salt, they are pretty cool people, try not to be turned off by the 'attitude'.

looking for a good lunch around yonge dundas

Salad King gets old after a while (trust me). The old Ginger (i think its called Green Leaf or something now) is a great place. It is actually closer to College then Yonge, however. I'm not sure if Eggspectation does take-out but that is worth checking out. Chipotle is crazy expensive but you do get a lot of food. In Toronto Life building I would recommend the Korean restaurant (Kyroko sp?) it isn't really like anything I have had in a regular food court (fast food wise).

Love Manic. I wish they were open later in the summer. I haven't been there lately, have they changed their hours?

Bulldog is in my 'hood (Gerrard & Church) and it is top notch coffee! The baristas have a great sense of humor.

Best Restaurant for Steak in Toronto

There's a steak house on Parliament St. called Stonegrill on Winchester where a friend of mine used to work at. I haven't eaten there before but she says that the meat used is very high quality. Take it for what its worth! http://www.stonegrillonwinchester.com/

Like Utopia, but not

Basileater, did you mean 'The House on Parliament'? That place is fantastic! Like Basileater said, it is better then your average pub fare and isn't too expensive. Go early and try to get one of the specials as they don't last long and very worth the premium. It has a small patio in the summer which is the most ideal place to sit. On the other hand, inside has really low ceilings and the decor screams pub.

About Cheese on Church

Right down the street. Definitely checking this place out.

Food in Aurora / Newmarket?

Re: A Taste of The Islands

I prefer Tweety's (sp?) on Bayview just west of Mulock.

I 2nd Pho Saigon, great place that I go to often.

By far one of my favorite places to eat is Molisana Bakery (http://www.molisanabakery.ca/). They have, in my opinion, the best Meatball Sandwich I have ever had. The pasta and pizza are not too shabby too. Excellent coffee.

Toronto's Best Slice

That's the one! Thanks.

Toronto's Best Slice

Does anyone remember the name of a place that has a hand crafted clay oven made in Italy and brought over here to Canada? I believe it is on, or around the Queen West area. It was in a recent restaurant spotlight in Eye Weekly.

Mercatto for Dinner

Mercatto was a regular 'spot' in the summer. I remember one time we ordered a bottle of red wine and some food, nothing out of the ordinary. The server took down our order and punched it into the system. The bartender (I think) quickly reviewed our order and walked over to our table. He mentioned that the bottle of wine that we ordered was an iced wine (shows what we know about wine) and told us it wasn't what we wanted to order. We agreed and he suggested a bottle of red wine, what we had originally intended. I have never experienced something like that before and I highly recommend Mercatto to everyone.
