Fort Worth Omni/Houston St.

Downtown has Grace! It's a wonderful and consistent restaurant with an excellent wine list. It's a steak and seafood, fine dining restaurant. A couple of other places, if you want to stay in downtown and on foot, Mi Cucina has good mexican food. Cantina Laredo is good also. Taverna is a nice little italian restaurant.

They both sound great. Thank you so much.

dinner near SFO

We fly in Sunday morning. Thanks!

dinner near SFO

Can I add a question to this chain..... we are taking a 6a flight into SFO and arriving at 8a Pacific time. We will be starving by the time we get our luggage/car and get on the road for Napa. Any recommendations for a great breakfast on our way out? The map says we are traveling across the Bay Bridge and through Vallejo.

Fine dining near Hobby Airport??

Thanks. That was the first place I thought of also but it's been 10 years since I've been there as well. I seen a very bad review when I went looking for a phone number. Hoping someone would know of new and fabulous restaurant in the area....

Fine dining near Hobby Airport??

An important business meeting is coming up and I am responsible for finding the restaurant. We are flying into Hobby and need to have lunch close by. Good food and ambiance for conducting a professional lunch is a must. Help! Any suggestions?

Guidance Please! It's all about the romance in Napa Valley for us this June

Thank you both for your suggestions. I believe we have a fabulous trip planned and could have never found such great direction without chowhounds. There is an unbelievable amount of information here. We have written TFL with our request and received a very nice response, acknowledging our occasion and noting it on the waitlist. We have reservations at the Meadowood also. I think we are set with reservations at most of the restaurants and vineyards that have been recommended. Again, THANK YOU!

Guidance Please! It's all about the romance in Napa Valley for us this June

You all have been incredibly helpful as we plan our 10 day trip to northern California this June. The itinerary is just about mapped out for lodging, tours, vineyards, and most meals (thanks primarily to your other postings). However, we are celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary and marveling that we've made it this long, this far and still madly in love. We want to dine some place incredible and very romantic on a Tuesday evening. We are on a waitlist for TFL and don't know whether to be hopeful or not. We are staying in Yountville. Realizing that Redd's is highly recommended, the ambiance doesn't appear (from the website) to be what we are looking for. Cyrus and Etoile's aren't open on Tuesday. While we consider ourselves "foodsnobs" with very high standards for food quality, preparation and service, I'm not sure Meadowood is what we are looking for (based on the online menu). Martini House has mixed reviews and I'm nervous. It's our first trip to Napa and we want it perfect.

Will you help another wandering foodie?

Fort Worth wine/liquor shopping

Thank you! I've seen Majestic Liquor from the road and considered giving them a try. I had high hopes that I would find a Specs style store! There is a CM in Southlake and we spend a fortune on wine there, almost every week! They have a very good wine selection, just hoping for a little more. I appreciate the advice.

Fort Worth wine/liquor shopping

We are new to Fort Worth (actually in Keller/Southlake area) and looking for a good wine and liquor store. We lived in Houston previously and loved to spend a Saturday afternoon in Spec's Downtown store. They have aisles and aisles of wines, liquor, cigars and specialty foods. Anything like that in this area or the metroplex?
