Wedding Reception for 150 in Manhattan . . . Suggestions Desperately needed

i second the suggestion for 24 fifth. also, manhattan penthouse. we had our wedding here 3 years ago and it was lovely. i'm not sure of capacity though, we had around 80 people. unlike another posters comment, we happened to like the food.

marathon + key west

hi all -
looking for some breakfast and dinner recommendations in marathon, as well as dinner recs in key west. we are staying in marathon (we come down once a year), our usual places are the island, sparkys and cabana breezes. we're looking to try some new places, must be baby friendly.
as for key west, we're looking for one baby friendly dinner rec, as well as one somewhat nicer spot for just me and my husband.
also, has anyone been to the restaurant at little palm island? is there a bar where we can just get drinks, or is it just for dinner only? i'm aware that this is def not a baby friendly spot.
thanks!

First Trip To LA, Recommendations Needed

thanks for the suggestions, servorg! loteria looks perfect since it's near and we'll have the little one with us. the varnish also seems like something we'd definitely want to check out. any idea if this place will be difficult to get into? we'd most likely be going on a week night, probably a thursday.

First Trip To LA, Recommendations Needed

Hi All,

My husband, one year old and I are coming out to LA in two weeks and are looking for some restaurant suggestions (some toddler friendly). We are staying near the Farmer's Market and will of course have a car. My husband lived in LA 10+ years ago and hasn't really been back since, and this will be my first trip ever.

We're looking for the following:

1. Sushi. Something mid-range to the lower end of high range. Will mostly just order sushi and rolls, no omakase. Doesn't need to be trendy/have much atmosphere, but must be GOOD.
2. Mexican. Want something authentic, must be toddler friendly.
3. I'd like to try tacos and/or burritos from a food truck. What are the standout options for this?
4. Casual breakfast/brunch options. Since we're close to the Farmer's Market, I'm guessing there should be some good choices there? Anything other must try places there?
5. Lastly, looking for a classic cocktails place. For other New Yorkers or those familiar - something along the lines of Flatiron Lounge, Employees Only, Cienfuegos, etc, etc.

Thank you! Any help is much appreciated!

sunday brunch with a baby

can anyone recommend a restaurant for sunday brunch that is baby friendly? we'll be in town staying at the intercontinental, so something in that area would be great but not totally necessary since we'll have a car. our daughter is 11 months old and is typically very well behaved. looking for something pretty casual with traditional brunch food - pancakes, waffles, etc. nothing crazy popular with long wait times. thanks!

sushi?

thanks for the suggestions everyone. sunda looked great and we decided we'd try it - unfortunately when i called to make a reservation i was told they are booked until 10pm! i'm thinking we may just go around 7 or so, have a drink and wait for a table. hopefully we don't end up waiting the night away!

sushi?

my husband and i will be in chicago this saturday night for a last minute trip. we'd like to go out for sushi and are hoping to get some good recommendations. we'll be staying at the intercontinental, so added points for something in that area, however it's not necessary. also, any suggestions for cocktails (thoughts on the violet hour?) would be greatly appreciated too!

okada vs. nobu?

so after much research, we've narrowed down sushi restaurants to okada or nobu for our vegas trip later this week. we are having a hard time deciding which we should try but i think we are leaning towards okada. we have been to nobu in nyc and loved it and would be happy to eat there again, however from what i've read okada may be slightly better...? any advise? if it makes a difference, we won't be doing omakase, mostly just sushi and rolls.
thanks!

Bellagio Buffet w/ a baby?

Does anyone know from experience if I can bring a 10 month old baby to the Bellagio's breakfast/brunch buffet? We are not staying there and I've read conflicting reports on if I can or can't. It seems they have a strict under 21 and children policy. I've emailed the hotel customer service but haven't heard anything back yet. Everyone says how great the buffet is and my husband and I would hate to miss it! Also open to other buffet suggestions too.
Thanks!

Sushi?

My husband and I will be traveling to Vegas in early December for three nights. We'd like to go out to dinner for sushi one of those nights and are looking for some recommendations. We want something very good and located on the strip, but that's really it as far as requirements. Thanks for any suggestions!

Rehearsal Dinner

I'm looking for suggestions on where to hold a rehearsal dinner for approx 20 -25 people this coming June. We are not set on a specific type of food, but would prefer italian or bbq - something casual and fun. No more than $85 or so pp. Gramercy/East Village/LES/Soho...even Little Italy. Ideas?

Need A Restaurant Suggestion For Special Occasion

My boyfriend and I recently got engaged and his parents would like to take us out to dinner. The only specification I received from them is that the restaurant be "really nice and special". At this point I'm pretty open to any suggestions, I've been racking my brain and can't come up with anything that seems just right. I'm thinking a steakhouse or french restaurant, maybe? Ideas?

Thanks!
