Best Mac n Cheese in LA

Henry's Hat on W. Cahuenga. Mean Mac 'n Cheese. Monday's in Happy Hour and you can get for $5 between 5pm-7pm. Pasta is al dente and 7 cheeses. How can you go wrong? I dare you to find a better spot ;)

Henry's Hat - we'll be back!

I love, love, love this place. Was visiting from Eastern Canada and tried many spots while in town and this one was our fav. Spent the last two nights there for supper, so good. We tried the fries with three sauces, pepperoni pizza, pulled pork sandwich, falafel wrap, mac 'n cheese, black 'n blue burger...Drinks were: Peach Breeze, Mojito, Mai Tai...All were incrediblly memorable and very reasonably priced. Monday 5pm-7pm is happy hour and a great deal. Making me wish I lived here or not since we would both be 400 lbs if we did! Enjoy.

Cafe Myriade

Just wanted to add my vote for this impressive cafe. From Halifax for an extended weekend in Montreal. Had hunted this place down shortly after landing in Mtl after reading the reviews on this board. The coffee verdict? In a word: excellent. Couldn't resist trying the syphon (1. Kenyan, 2. Mexican, both on recco by Anth and both memorable). Also tried Soy Chai Latte and Mocha. Addictive. Owners are welcoming and we already miss Myriade. Our sightseeing was exclusively planned around our new fav java addiction...

rec. places for student who likes to eat alone....

1. Tarboosh (Fenwick St.)- City famous Lebanese
2. My Brother Darryl's (Fenwick St.) - Hot Pitas & their famous Darryl Fries
3. Rani's Curry (Green St.) - Carribean

All would be fine for the solo diner and well-priced at less than $15.

Best Donair in Halifax, NS?

My vote is for Arena Pizza (downtown Dartmouth...if you take ferry, it's a two min walk). They make mean donairs, both meat and sauce are delish. Meat is flavourful and spicy, offset by chewy pita and the goodness of appropriately sweetened sauce. Mmm.
