If U R Ever in Pottsville, PA
When you call Ceniole's they tell you what time you pick the pie up.. If you are late, your pie is given to someone else.. so yes, they have wierd hours, you have to call no later than Wednesday to order a pie.
If U R Ever in Pottsville, PA
It is a handmade hamburger with a hot sauce on it. Their hot dogs are called growlers..
If U R Ever in Pottsville, PA
The Westy is pretty good. Located on old 22. Gets kinda crowded...
If U R Ever in Pottsville, PA
Try a screamer from Tony's lunch while you are at it. They are also in Girardville, just up the street from Ceniole's Pizza (sp).. Tehy open at 7;30pm and stay open until 1:30am... excellent
Kielbasa in NEPA?
A soupie is a type of salami/soprasada. It is a a combination of pork and spices that are dried and then put in a jar of Olive Oil. Very tasty. They have contests in NEPA for the best Soupies.
Cape May Area Eats
Thank you to everyone who suggested places. I returned from vacation on Saturday.
Although I could not make it to every suggested location, I did make it to a few..
Mr. D's - excellent cheesesteaks and Italian subs
The Vanilla Bean Creamery - Hard place to find. I had a cone of chocolate and it was probably one of the best cones of Chocolate I had. Wife had Strawberry and it tasted artificial, as did my dad's cone of cherry. Mom's cone of fudge ripple was very good.
The Sea Shell Ice Cream - We thought this was better than the Vanilla Creamery... Great little place.
The Dry Dock - excellent sundae's They use homemade cakes and brownies. Prices are very reasonable...
The Ugly Mugg - The chili was awesome , the wings were "so-so" . the mini chicken taco's were the frozen type you buy in the store. 2 or 3 of the shells were empty.
The Bay View - We hit the Friday Happy hour 4-6, the atmosphere was great, very kid friendly. Ribs/chicken platter was great. The crab legs were great, the crab cakes were great.. The wings were great.... This place we will visit again....
Romeo's Pizza - We picked up a goodfellow pie on our way back from shopping in Rio Grande (rainy day) and it was great. I thought it was going to be a grease bucket ab soggy, but it was not. Very good pizza.
Dairy Delight - Nothing fancy or extraordinary about this place. Just some basic ice cream. Much rather the Sea Shell or Dry Dock.
Chowhouse needs an iphone app, like Yelp...

Need to check out Maui's, I do not think I have ever tried a veal hot dog ! ! What is recommended? Veal or Regular. Very reasonable prices for being at the shore...
Marked down all 3, tommy's, maui's and Sharkey's...
I will have to extend my stay a couple days to try everything... LOL
White House Sub Question
I think it is the freshness.... You have someone always slicing the meat fresh and they way they "dig" out the rolls, just enough bread... Some sub shops the roll is way too thick. Don't forget to tip... I always throw the guy who makes mine at least $2... You honestly have to try it. Some people might not like them, but most people will always come back.
Heading to Ocean City..Anything New to check out?
We always hit Johny B Goodes on Asbury for ice cream... Pizza is def. Mack n Manco's, Prep's is good too... Cheesesteaks at Del's. Sub's head to Voltaco's West & 9th across from Mickey D's. I have not been to O.C. for 2 years, hope these are still around.

Thanks for the input. I am entering everything into my iphone so I have it for the trip. Nothing worst that spending money on a bad meal, especially on vacation..

Will be heading to Wildwood August 1st for a weeks vacation. We are staying right near Diamond Beach by the Cape May Sancuary. There will be 4 adults and a 10 month old. Although we cook most of our meals, we do like to treat ourselves 2 or 3 times for lunch of dinner. For lunch I am looking for some great take out, maybe some subs/pizza, and for dinner a nice sit down with fairly quick service (10 month old gets a little bored).
Would also like some suggestions for Stone Harbor, we are going the last week in August and staying right near Fred's Tavern.
Great board and lots of useful info... Keep up te great job..
Tony's Lunch - Gville
Has anyone had the pleasure of visiting this fine dining establishment? If not, it is a must see/do when in the coal region. Open from 7:30pm until 2am and closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Quick cheese mmmmmm
Senape's Pitza?
You think that is good, you should try Rostas bar pie withthe scamutz cheese... very good. It is just down the road on 924. I think scamutz cheese is goat milk, isn't it?
Best Pizza in A.C.
this place was a little dive on the streets on A.C. I will have to TIVO it next time it is on...
Best Pizza in A.C.
Was watching food network the other day and they had on "The Best of" and it was Pizza... They were in Atlantic City and the place used the artesian well water for the dough. I think it was baked in a coal over as well.. Anyone know the location and name of this place. I missed it on the show.
Thanks
